Crystal Retinal is enriched with a small % of hyaluronic acid and glycerin which provides a sufficient amount of hydration for balanced skins, but for more dehydrated skins we would suggest layering Hydr8 B5 before Crystal Retinal to provide a more intense boost of hydration.

Yes, Crystal Retinal 3 is suitable for everyone new to Retinaldehyde (Retinal). 
When first using Crystal Retinal, we recommend following our gradual phase-in method: use twice a week for the first 2 weeks, every other night for the next 2 weeks, then every night. You should always use sunscreen in the morning while using vitamin A.

I am currently using ha serum + niacinamide serum + moisturiser after applying a low strength retinol. is that the correct order for this product too?

Hi There,

Thanks for your question.

We would recommend layering products from lightest to heaviest in texture for optimum penetration. 
So water-based products would go on the skin first, then oil-based serums, then emulsion serums and moisturisers last.

I would recommend following the layering order below:
1. Cleanse
2. Hyaluronic acid serum 
3. Retinol 
4. Niacinamide serum (if it's an emulsion if a water-based serum use it before retinol serum)
5. Moisturiser

This item does not come with any application instructions in the box, but we can advise has been fulfilled by Medik8 and is a genuine item.

How to Apply:
Use in the evening. First cleanse, then apply 2 pumps of Crystal Retinal over face and neck. Allow to absorb then follow with a moisturiser. We recommend Advanced Night Restore, designed to be used after vitamin A.

Phase-In:
For new users of Crystal Retinal, phase application in gradually. Use twice a week for the first 2 weeks, every other night for the next 2 weeks, then every night. You should always use a sunscreen in the morning while using vitamin A.
