Avene Cicalfate+ Repairing Protective Cream, 40 millilitre

I brought this cream because I had some stressed induced eczema and it has truly been a wonder. I would not ordinarily take the step of writing a review but within a couple days of applying the cream as per the instructions i.e. morning and evening. I have noticed a dramatic improvement in my skin. I dark brown skin and the cream has a slight cast unless you rub it in properly. As per other reviews of the product it might have separated when it arrives so give it a good shake and you should be good to go. The cream is quite thick but I have no issue with that. It does not have any scent and I consider it is good value for money since you only need to use a small amount. My skin is back to being smooth and hydrated and it doesn't itch anymore which is great. I should add that my skin is very sensitive and I have had no issues with this product which is great. I could not recommend this product highly enough.

This cream has become my new holy grail moisturiser! I initially bought it for my skin barrier repairing routine and then I started incorporating skin barrier repair into my normal everyday skincare routine. The Avene cicalfate cream is intensely healing and moisturising, it doesn't cause active breakouts on my acne prone skin and it in fact helps clear my acne, so I use it day and night. It gives my skin a supple glow, especially paired with my Purito daily soft touch sunscreen! It's 100% worth the price. Also it doesn't contain silicones! Update: Since I've used both the 40ml and 100ml sizes, I feel like I'm qualified enough to give a review on the differences between both. The 40ml size is more concentrated however it's harder to spread and in contrast, the 100ml size has a higher water content so it's easier to spread on your face and makes your skin much more supple and glowy and the effects also last longer. You'll have to dry your previous products before using both though because both are quite thick products. I personally use a handheld folding fan for this it has a beautiful cartoon pattern and it's very useful but you can also use an electric fan, whatever you prefer.

Takes the sensitivity away as it’s applied. Im using it post laser tattoo removal & the redness reduced in 1 use. Removes the itch so potentially could be used for other skin irritations. Easy to apply & soothing.

Once opened water purred out of the tube, the product separated somehow - I am guessing the way it is stored made it happen, not sure. Unfortunately landed in the bin as I read it is not safe to use even after trying to mix it together (I tried mixing it together but it was impossible, like two separate ingredients just impossible to mix as one). Couldn't return it as I live in Ireland and it is Amazon UK so Post doesn't accept liquids.

Perfect for sore skin, i use after having professional microneedling and my friends used some for his face which is really sore due to chemotherapy and he's now bought his own, a bit expensive but is totally worth it

I did just start using it 2 days ago, the texture is creamy and oily at the same time, and it does hydrate the skin perfectly

Would have been annoyed if I hadn't read the reviews. Watery to start with. Put in warm water then SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE! It then keeps its creamy consistency.

This has now become a regular purchase for me. I have suffered with erratic outbreaks over the years on my face, which are red and inflamed. This has really helped to settle my skin, which is clear and more balanced.

I have bought this product endless amount of times. With super sensitive skin it is one of the only creams that doesn’t irritate and creates a great barrier against drying out. It is affordable and keeps my skin hydrated for hours. Have recommended this product to so many friends with other skin problems. Keep in mind it’s a thicker consistency but I love that as I feel like it lasts longer through out the day.
