Probably better for a cat than small dog
Not as durable as I thought it would be for small dog

Great exercise for my little butterball.
I have four rescue cats of all ages and only one will play with it. The other three run from it when it turns on. Five stars would be given if all played but seeing only one will play with it I have to give it a four. The one that does play with it just loves it and caught on quick as to how to keep it running by hitting it. It does make some noise and I think that's why the other three cats run. Over all I'm happy with it since my one cat that is getting older and a little over weight is the one that plays with it. Great exercise and I can hear it at night so my cat is just obsessed with it.

though it works nicely. One of my cats is scared of it ...
It's bigger than I expected, though it works nicely. One of my cats is scared of it thought and the other one lost interest after the first play through. Might work for daring active cats

Cat toy
My cat loves this toy. You can see the inside of the ball. It has a button the you turn it on with, when touched it activates the ball and states turning around, it goes around one direction then stops and goes in the other directions, colored lights light up blinking off and on, it runs for about 30 secounds. the long tail is made of heavy fabric that is tough, won't come apart and feathers on the end. In the tail is a metal ball so it keepes the tail straight when it goes around. My cat loves it, she carries it around. She'll bat at it to turn it on and then moves back from it a little and just watches it light up and go around. This is our cats 2nd one only because a 5 year old broke it otherwise it would probably still be working. The only toy my cat plays with by herself. Its funny because we'll be watching TV and all of a sudden we'll hear the ball go off. Our first ball lasted at least 2 years, so don't let little kids play with it!!

Disappointed
It was fun for a couple of days until the feathers fell off. Wish it had something other than feathers, which can be chewed and swallowed by a cat and be dangerous. Maybe some lightweight balls? Too bad. They loved it until it fell apart in a very short time. Not worth the money.

My cat loved it but the battery dies after only two days and she chewed all the feathers off within an hour.

Happy Cat is happy!
This is my female cat's favorite toy! We don't know why she loves this toy so much. This is the second one that we purchased. The first one met its demise due to our male cat's digestive failures. The little guy throws up on everything! He has perfect aim I tell ya! So much so that he puked all over the fabric part of the Zany Ball and when I tried to wash it clean I got water into the housing and sort of broke it. I don't really know which of us is to blame but my female cat wasn't happy with either of us. I still point the finger at "Little Magic Ball of Puking Fur."Anyway, female cat now has her new Zany Ball and is in happy land once again. She loves to run up to it, 'tea bag' it, and then run off and watch it whip itself around for a bit. The moment it stops she runs up to it and does it again. It makes us laugh. Happy Cat is happy!

My cat’s favorite
My cat loves this toy. She’s a small kitty but still picks it up by the “tail” and carries it all over the house and presents it to us like some captured “prey”. The feathers are long gone but that’s not an issue. I have to turn it off at night to get some rest. She also plays with it in a traditional way. It is by far her favorite toy.
