Works like a champ!
When this thing arrived, I couldn't believe how big it is. Some reviews indicated that it wasn't very heavy duty. I found it to be very sturdy and it fit nicely on both the anode and the heater element. Due to its length, it extends beyond the gas heater tube and beyond the entire inset of the water heater allowing you to get good leverage on it . For the price, it sure made the job a lot easier. Tip: If you know you're going to be removing the element and have the time, simply spray some PB Blaster or other penetrating oil around the exposed threads on the head of the element and let set for a day or two if you can. After doing that, the element came loose with little effort. Also, I took the tool and inserted another new anode rod into it backwards for clean storage. I'll be ready for next year.

This product is heavy duty and longer than what I anticipated. It removes water heater elements on one end and anode rods on the other end. This is a great tool to have in your rv

Works great to reduce odor
We had trouble with odor in our vacation house's water heater. This completely eliminated that problem. I kind of a weekend warrior home repair guy. Had never replaced a water heater anode. Had to buy a breaker bar to get the old one out. Still, even with the added expense, I am really happy that I did that.

Excellent for tight areas
Ordered this for my rv water heater tank plug due to the tight location for any other hand tool. Found this to be the perfect tool for easy removal of the tank plug when draining the tank. Also note that it is made for two different plug sizes making it perfect for most RVs. Must have for your RV tool kit.
