Bittersweet story; beautifully illustrated!
I fell in love with this bittersweet story of a mermaid wanting to be loved and gain a human soul when I was a child. I've loved mermaids ever since. Disney would never, ever be true to the telling of this tale, of course. It's not a traditionally "happy" ending, but I feel in the end that it was happy for the little mermaid.

A good sized book, larger than normal and beautiful illustrations . My grandchildren love it😊

Good Illustrations
Good illustrations. Different than little kids version. I have a teen granddaughter that likes Little Mermaid. Haven't given it to her yet as a gift but I think she will enjoy having for her collection.

Timeless Story
Great story - never grows old. Read to my 7 yr old twin nephews before we headed out to Copenhagen this summer. They loved book and seeing Little Mermaid in person.

Beautifully done
The story is beautifully illustrated and told as it was meant to be told (i.e., this is not the happy Disney version). The book itself is solidly bound with good quality pages.

Good product.
Exactly what I wanted and bigger than expected. Beautiful and. Great price. However, I bought this new so I could have some sort of packaging still on it, but there was none. Could have just bought it used! My aunt will love it.

Beautiful edition
The illustrations of Charles Santore are beautiful. The quality of paper is also great.A bit early for a 3.5 year-old child.
