How well will it hold up in a boat? (please do not answer -"i don't know", "i use mine for something else","i don't have a clue", etc.)

In the exceedingly-likely event of a water landing, your feet cushion will act as a floatation device. Briefly. Simply wrap it around yourself, tear off a corner, and blow into the aperture, being sure to expel sufficient air to displace the water attempting to fill it. We'd like to take a moment to remind you that the Kangaroo is not an aquatic animal. Rather famously so. We know you have a choice in fatigue mats (which is why we're collectively baffled you're looking at foam instead of a waterproof and salt-resistant material like https://www.amazon.com//dp/B003U1SHRE), and thank you for sailing Titanaquatic Yacht Lines! Finally, we are aware the galley is out of ice. The captain has instructed the helm to swing past that iceberg off the port stern to break off a few chunks. We'll let you know.

Do these mats off-gas much? I'm very sensitive to various chemicals so am looking for something that won't irritate my lungs.

We bought one of these mats last week. There was no smell whatsoever. I was surprised, since some of the questions and some of the reviews mentioned a chemical odor. Maybe they changed something. Normally, I’m pretty sensitive to outgassing

While the product description indicates that this mat is non-toxic, I would like clarification as to whether or not the mat contains any trace latex.

I am sorry but I do not know what materials are in the mat. I did not see any materials listed on the mat, other than it is made in China.
