It’s a RubberMaid product
Flexible, as opposed to rigid (likely more breakable), plastic. Appears far more durable. .

Sturdy!
I wont but any other brand. Love Love Love the quality of these pocket folders. The dark rich brown makes the folder look nicer than other brands. Very sturdy and worth the price.

Good Value Compared to Its Competitor, But Not As Sturdy
When I was first practicing law, 40 years ago, I worked for a reasonably large Los Angeles firm that used Pendaflex folders for pretty much everything. And, they were tough and seemed to hold up a long time ... my recollection, however, is that they were a lot thicker and sturdier than theses.Fast forward 30 or so years, and we started buying these (what I call) "redwells" directly from Bushnell (who, I understand, sells some of their products here on Amazon). And ... right before I purchased these Pendaflex redwells, I had purchased 75 redwells from Bushnell Company. But, discovered, after I bought them, that in addition to the price per each going up in the last two years from $2.75 per redwell to $4.25 each, and that did not include what turned out to be $75.00 shipping charge from the East Coast!. Well, Bushnell didn't mention the shipping charge, so they refunded it to me. But, I thought that I should look on Amazon to see if I could find something comparable and compare the prices. WELL, these Pendaflex are not quite the same as the Bushnells ... they are 5.25" when they open, whereas the Bushnell are 6.25" when they open. And, the cardboard on the Pendaflex is not quite as thick/sturdy as the Bushnell Brand. But, they both use Tyvek as the 'accordion' part on the ends (that closes and expands). ... ... ... SOOOOOOOOO the Bushnell are definitely sturdier, and will hold 1" more stuff. And, if I were still working in a 100 lawyer law firm, and wanted my paper files to last for ever, I'd think seriously about buying the Bushnell Brand. But, the question comes down to whether -- even if Bushnell is 'made in America' (which it is) is the extra $2.00 ... PER ... accordion folder worth it? ... And, oh yes, Amazon doesn't charge for delivery. So, $25.00 for 10 Pendaflex or $45.00 for 10 Bushnell. In my case, while I really like the FEEL of the Bushnell, I think in the future I'll buy the Pendaflex ... and maybe by that time, they'll have introduced a 6.25" in width, as that extra inch makes some difference.

Better description needed
These were legal size but nowhere in the description did it indicate that. They seemed to be of good quality but I did not want legal and had to return them. Amazon handled the return without any problem.
