Jeff Sands field experience was evident. A must read for all business leaders
This is indeed a field manual for turning around failing businesses. The reality is that healthy businesses can learn a lot about what to do to stay strong.I was initially skeptical about the title: turnaround any business in 100 days? However, before I finished the first chapter I got my money’s worth and my skepticism disappeared by way of: Two Core Principles Needed To Understand Corporate Distress. The analysis is golden.I will suggest the book be in audio. Jeff’s writing style is very conversational. A very great advantage for a book that addresses a very technical subject. It will help to embrace the principles for effective practice and applications in the real world.

One of the best business books I've read in years!
This is a book that every business owner and every consultant to business owners should read. It's a wonderfully detailed and readable book about the business turnaround process. My copy is dog-eared and highlighted throughout because there is useful information on just about every page. The "war stories" are hugely entertaining too.Too often business owners get paralyzed and indecisive when insolvency threatens. This book clearly explains that there is often an honorable way out if, and only IF, swift action is taken.I've been looking for a book like this for years. I highly recommend it.Bryan DucharmeVenture 7 Advisors

Essential reading for any business owner/manager to save your company!
"The best turnarounds often start with a shock, something that breaks through the clutter and distraction of the languishing business and refocuses the team's attention." (Chapter 2 - Crisis Leadership) Talk about impeccable timing. Jeff's book, Corporate Turnaround Artistry, is undoubtedly going to help many business owners save their companies in the coming weeks, months and years. The timing of this release just prior to the greatest economic dislocation in America since at least the great depression couldn't have been more impeccable. This book comes chock full of hard-earned wisdom, not an academic theory/lecture about saving a failing business. Jeff is the guy you want in the trenches alongside you turning your company around. I hope in reading and studying this book is that I never have to make that call. Well worth your time!

Easy to read and practical
This book is written by a true practitioner with a lot of fun war stories. Of all the books on the topic I've looked through this was the most practical for the < $100m revenue operator. It is an easy read if you're reading it "just in case" as I did, but also filled with enough detail and ideas that you can refer back to it if you're dealing with a tough situation. It will not make you an expert, but I think it is enough to determine who you need to call and whether they know what they're talking about.

Plain talk well done
Great book and written in no nonsense language. Really enjoyed the real world examples as well as the detail on key topics like the art of bankruptcy.

Highly Practical With First-hand Accounts
I've read many, many business books. This is in the top 5% of them. The turnaround stories all ring true, as do the descriptions of CEOs, bankers, accountants, union leaders, employees and more. Sands actually managed to take a seemingly dry subject and bring it to life so that I felt the suspense of whether a deal would get done or not. Spoiler: not all the endings in this book are happy. Sands is a good writer for a business guy, and very well-versed in finance, banking, law and operations. But you get the sense he could shed the coat and tie and hold his own on a factory floor, lumber yard, fabrication shop, or just about any other hard-hat zone. Highly recommended.
