Nice book for little ones who are mixed and for those who aren’t. It celebrates and embraces the differences. I enjoyed the illustrations also.

Easy for kids to understand

Representation matters and this book is a tremendous reminder how important the life journey of biracial children are. Adults need this book than children.

My toddler is Mixed and loves to tell everyone. She loves this book and wants to read it multiple times a day. Very cute and nicely done illustrations.

This was purchased as a gift for my best friend’s baby shower. It is a perfect book for any child of mixed race parents. It addresses questions and comments mixed kids may get from their peers in a way that is both age appropriate and full of self confidence. I would recommend this book!

I think any child mixed, or with a lighter complexion can relate to this book. This is an excellent read for children that may be self-conscious about their looks, because it teaches them to be confident in their skin. I love the part at the end about not being mixed up, he's just mixed. It's important for children to learn at an early age that being different is a blessing, and they are perfect just the way they are. I highly recommend this book!

beautiful art work and a simple message for initial conversations about being biracial. I agree I didn’t love the child being referred to as “mixed up”, but I can also understand how in some communities this message could still be delivered. Regardless, the child feels empowered throughout the book and reframed the message of “mixed up” to “mixed me.” My son enjoyed it!
