My boys love these. Its a fun project that keeps them occupied for awhile!

Purchased for children , 3 and 10 years old. My 10 year old loved diving through the rock and plaster to find the bones underneath. It does become messy as the plaster dislodges so would suggest putting down a mat or newspaper under to catch dust and plaster shards. Putting together the dinosaur bones was very fun for 10 yr old. It looks quite good once finished. The tools included were a thoughtful design to help kids.

Good as far as plaster - easier and not stinky like some brands Fossil itself is great for Dino livers but not mine. He’s autistic and too destructive. We still have him but his pieces have been torn apart too much to stay together anymore. Now he’s used as our Dino scene with scattered bones

Surprised by how interactive this set was. Bought for a 6 year old and she loved it. It came with a little info booklet that had fun facts and different word puzzles, definitely made the gift last a lot longer. She did break some of the treasures as she was digging but that didn’t seem to bother her

Bought as a gift for my daughter , we’ve done a few other dig sets but this is the absolute worst quality we’ve come across. Four pieces broke from this set while we were digging. The plaster is extremely hard no matter how long you soak it. The child can barely do anything, you’ll be the one having to do anything otherwise every single piece will end up broken, Dino’s toe, or tooth, or rib or finger will break off. Or spinal bones. The pieces were extremely poorly placed inside the plaster. Very frustrating and just ended up making us both mad at eachother while we tried very hard to work around the poorly placed pieces-not at all like a real archaeological dig. The worst part was the assembly, after all that work I hoped that at least something would go right, but no, none of the pieces fitted together, my child couldn’t put any of them together at all I had to do it all and I did it with great difficulty, and still couldn’t get the pieces to go all the way in. Many pieces needed to be filed down in order to fit into the holes. After all that, the dinosaur is lopsided, and doesn’t stay up in the stand. I HATE this set. DO not buy this poor quality product, unless you like yelling at your kids and ruining tmsomething you paid over twenty dollars to have a fun day with. Your better off going for a walk, at least then the kids will be happy.
