The Life Essentials Interactive Study Bible is easy to recommend. I picked one up a while back because I have no experience with the CSB translation but work at a small Christian bookstore and have to be at least somewhat familiar with our translation options and because I didn't have a general study Bible.It is a tremendous Bible. While I got a hardcover, which is not usually considered the premium offering, it has good paper and binding, and I have been reading from it every morning. The format takes a little getting used to, given how often the principle sidebars interrupt the text, but after a brief process of getting used to it I find it to be a great companion. I read a passage, the section covering a principle, then reflect on that for a while, and it really gets me ready for my day.Plus, it's affordable. While it's far too large to carry comfortably (I carry an NLT The Way Study Bible to my Bible study class to complement the NASB readings we use, which is a hefty Bible but a significant chunk smaller than this one), it is a great desk Bible for what is practically a steal. The CSB has faithful and direct language compared to other translations like the NIV, and the Life Essentials portion offers both interesting information and guiding questions.Highly, highly, highly recommend.

I always love the opportunity to review Bibles and this one is an exciting discovery. I get frustrated with myself when I am doing daily Bible reading and my mind gets distracted. I have tried various plans, and really need them while reading a few books (like Leviticus, Numbers, etc), but my mind does tend to wander. So the set up of this Study Bible is an intriguing surprise.Using a structured technique in each chapter: "The Nehemiah Principle," "The Amos Principle," "The Romans Principle,"... and you get the idea, Dr. Gene Getz gives insights, as well as highlighting key verses to help the student [of the Bible] to focus on what is being said. Of course, you should read it all, but that extra illumination is a huge help for me to hone in with what the Bible is saying. Commentaries, maps, concordance, and footnotes are very useful inclusions that I use.The Reflections and Response section is useful for both personal and group study. They are connected with smartphone-accessible QR codes to videos. There are more than 250 hours of videos by Dr. Getz. A downside for me is that I don't own a smartphone (but have been considering getting one). However, I believe the Life Essentials Interactive Study Bible is well worth owning for the other info I am gleaning. I also love the sturdy hardcover and the print size is comfortable to read.

Good, clear type Bible - should be easily read by most people. CSB is a good, solid, English translation of the Bible in modern English. This is the 2nd generation of the first multimedia Bible from the same publisher and containing Life Principle notes throughout the text which have QR-codes next to them which will point your internet-connected device to the relevant video of the notes. The 1500 hours of video plus this study bible is basically "Bible School in a Box".The Life Principles app is available in respective app stores for android and ios devices. It includes a built-in QR-Reader which opens the appropriate video from within the app. The app has an index of all the video material. You are also able to access a short daily bible teaching from Dr Getz in the app.USB thumb drives of the video and audio teachings from the bible are available for purchase on the ministry web site. This allows you to use the material legally off-line.This is a not-for-profit organisation and all proceeds from the bible go back into ministry - check it out for yourself.Piece of advice: The kindle version of the study bible is clear enough to use the app on another device so as to keep both devices open for simultaneous use. Else, you can click on the blue link under the QR-code and the connected principle video will open in your internet browser.
