Hari Hagen Tropimix Enrichment Food for Cockatiels & Lovebirds, 2 lb.

This is a regular snack in their diets. The pieces are small enough that I think even Budgies could enjoy it. I feed it to my Quakers and Green Cheek Conures as a snack aside from their regular diet of chop and pellets. I will say that it would definitely be beneficial for birdies with beak damage or deformations, as they wouldn't need to deshell anything. The quality is always great. In fact, I have it on auto ship each month, so when they're near to running out, I don't have to worry about it. The package is somewhat small, but it's lacking all of the seed shell waste, so the price point is even better than for traditional seeds. Not to mention, it also includes pellets, and small pieces of papaya. My birds are always excited for their Tropimix, so I'm assuming it tastes great. Give it a try! Your feathered friends will squawk with delight, I'm sure of it! Mine even sing "mmm mmm, yummy yummy!" When it's time to eat it. Could just be habit, but I like to think it's because they're excited to be eating it 🤣

Birds love this. I have 3 parakeets, 2 cockatiels, and a green check conure. I think Hagen is a little expensive but mixed with Roudybush pellets worth it. I like the idea of pellets but wanted my birds to have a variety to choose from. I like Roudybush Mini Pellets 10lb bag mixed Hagen Tropimix Cockatiels & Lovebird 2lb bag. All my birds love this mixture of shell free seeds with fruits and vegetables added to their pellets. I love this mess free combo. My birds eat everything in this mixture. I tried Roudybush California Blend but besides being expensive my birds only ate the pellets. My Conure was weaned to ZuPreem Natural Daily Medium Bird Food so I bought 2 lb bag until I could convert him over to my Roudybush Hagen mixture. He took to my Roudybush Hagen mixture instantly. So I was left with almost 2lb ZuPreem bag I decided to mix it into Roudybush Hagen mixture. All my birds refused to eat the Zupreem pellets. Even the Conure.

Hagen Tropimix offers a good mix of seeds, nuts, fruits, and vegetables, which initially seemed like a well-rounded diet for my cockatiels. The variety is impressive, and I appreciate that it includes some healthier options beyond just seeds. However, my birds tend to pick out their favorite bits—mostly the sunflower seeds and dried fruit—and leave behind the smaller grains and legumes. This makes me question whether they're actually getting balanced nutrition or just filling up on the tastier (and less nutritious) pieces. The price feels a bit steep for what you get. While the ingredients are quality, the fact that so much of it goes to waste because my birds are selective eaters makes it hard to justify the cost. I’ve tried mixing it with other pellets to encourage them to eat more of the nutritious components, but they still manage to sort out the "junk food" first. It’s not a bad product, and I’ll likely keep using it in rotation with other foods. But if you’re looking for something your birds won’t cherry-pick through, you might want to consider a pellet-based diet instead. Good in theory, but execution could be better for the price.

I’ve been buying from this brand for years my bird loves it he always gets excited before I put it in his bowl. Good smell , well priced, good quality, good size for what you pay.

La presentación impecable, y el contenido piezas completas, no trituradas, rellenos que no sean un auténtico producto de semilla completa con mezcla de nutrientes golosos. Bonne taille de graine pour une conure. La mienne n'est pas fan, mais le mélange a l'air qualitatif, et surtout ne contient pas de tournesol. J'ajoute du tournesol blanc, moins gras au mélange pour attirer le chaland. Il y a beaucoup d'extrudé en forme de bille que ma conure prend pour des projectiles plus que de la nourriture, elle n'est pas trop interessée par ces billes. Mais je vais continuer sur cette gamme

This is the best food I have found on the market for both lovebirds and cockatiels. As a registered breeder of cockatiels and my mother a registered breeder of lovebirds we have both had the same experience. We highly recommend Tropimix to everyone as the benefits of this food are endless. Our breeder pairs are happy,healthy and full of energy and our babies take to this food right away. We know our baby birds are getting a great and healthy start in life when they are weaned and transition into the Tropimix. This is a wonderful and very healthy mix to offer your bird. Upon opening each and every bag we have purchased it smells wonderfully fresh. Because it is free of husks and shells we find nothing goes to waste and there is less of a mess on our floors. An 8 pound bag goes a very long way and outlasts the majority of the other seed mixes out there as the bulk of other mixes are husk and shells which is a waste. Tropimix is truly the best and can't be beat at this price.
