- Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera - 12 oz.(2 pack)

I'm in my early 50's and I suffered more acne in the last 2 years than I ever did as a teen. I have spent hundreds if not more between facials and expensive products for my face. Some of them seemed to work at first but then my face almost seemed worsted than before. My doctor even gave me antibiotics. I took them for a month and then stopped taking them. They helped but were never able to return my face and skin to normal. I suffered from a lot of deep acne along my jaw line. My nose and cheeks just hurt all the time. I changed my diet and washed my pillow case 2 times a week and changed laundry soaps. My face would be dry as a bone for 2 weeks and slick with oil the next 2 weeks. On spots where I had tried to dry out a painful zit the skin was dry and flaky. Thayers rose petal Witch Hazel with aloe Vera has worked better than everything ! I use it several times a day. If I have to get up at night I grab a quick pad with Thayers and use it. My skin feels the same every day now. Soft and smooth but not oily. No flaking from dry skin. Break outs are less and when I do they are easy to deal with. My pores do seem smaller and I seem to have less blackheads. It smells wonderful to me. I have even had friends ask me what new perfume I'm wearing because they love it. My youngest daughter who is 17 uses it all the time now also. She was having trouble with acne also but her face is clear now too. Iwe can both now go out with out make up and don't feel bad about our skin anymore. I have been using it for about 2 months now and my face and skin is significantly better. Acne 95% to 98% gone and breakouts less frequency. If I do break out I use several times a day and it dries them out quickly. Before I would big red lumps or welts under my skin that could take a week or longer before they went away. * I have used other brands of witch hazel with alcohol but they just dried my skin and it didn't show any improvement. IMPORTANT- at each use I use at least 2 disposable pads. I wipe one side of my face with one side then flip it and use the other side. When my face dries. I do it again. I don't want to smear the oil and dirt the pad picked up. It doesn't leave a film on my skin and my skin doesn't feel sticky. I also don't seem to need a moisturizer much anymore.

I used some witch hazel while pet sitting recently. Then I decided I liked how it made my skin look and feel and I'd do some amazon-researching to find the best one. Well...this is it. Buy it in the 2-3 pack- you WILL use it. I put it on after my shower -- I towel pat my face, then pour this in my hands and rub it on my face. I then use a little more and rub it into my neck and arms...but I'm thinking I'll just go all the way and start rubbing some on my legs. ANYONE who has touched my skin lately has said it is the softest skin they have ever felt. *I* feel it becoming softer by the day. It's also SUPER clear. I have sensitive skin - always have. I'm acne prone around my jaw line from my hair/hair products...NO MORE! I literally have no more acne. My pores look AMAZING. My skin "glows"...and it smells WONDERFUL. This is has been a miracle product for me. I tell EVERYONE about it. I even used it recently between the folds of a PUGGLE'S face-skin flaps because they looked red, irritated, and smelled a little of yeast. She didn't budge (it doesn't burn, it has no alcohol) and she looked and smelled LOVELY afterwards -- this is a DOG people! And it helped ease HER inflamed skin! It's such a soft, natural product I recommend it to EVERYONE and I will be using it for the rest of my life. :D

I bought this hoping to add a good quality, gentle toner to my list of facial products because I have both acne-prone skin and large pores on my cheeks. And so far, I have nothing but good things to say about this product! For one, I bought this in October of 2018, and I'm still only on bottle number 1. I don't use it as often as I should (because I'm lazy/always rushing), but I can say this, my acne has improved considerably since I bought it. Although, I can't tell if it's because of this or because, at the same time, I'm finally finding the right products for my skin. What I can tell you is this: as someone who suffers from combination, sensitive, acne-prone skin, this doesn't dry out my face whatsoever, and literally everything dries out my face at the drop of a hat. It really is soft on your skin--it refreshes! I think that's the best way to put it. It's wonderful at reducing redness from post-shower scrubbing or inflamed breakouts, and gentle enough to scrub over your eyes/nose/mouth area to remove heavy makeup, BUT strong enough to get all of the residual makeup off. Honestly, it still shocks me how much makeup it's able to grab, even after 2-3 passes of a makeup wipe. I also think it's helped with my pigmentation from acne scars, but, again, I can't be sure since my entire routine has been on point lately. At the very least, it hasn't done anything to mess my face up, which is more than can be said for a lot of products. It's largest selling point, though, for me, is that it doesn't dry you out at all. It leaves your skin feeling dewy, even. I'm still really shocked at that? When my sensitive skin is too irritated to be washed at night, I gently rub my face down with a steaming hot towel, to open my pores, and then pass this toner over my face before my nightly moisturizer.

I have always had troubled skin. However, I had a good skin regimen in place through my teens and was usually able to keep it under control most of the time. Enter my 20's -- whole different world. Everything I used in my early teens did nothing to keep my face clear anymore. It was awful and completely frustrating to not have any control in keeping my break outs at bay. At points it became very embarrassing to leave the house -- my whole chin/jawline would be broken out and painful. I started trying everything from a drugstore products to high end products I could think of and no luck what so ever. Some of the brands were seriously expensive such as Elizabeth Arden, Estee Lauder, and Oriflame, but it still wasn't enough. After a lot of research I realized that this product kept coming up -- and the reviews were pretty good. Since it was just a toner, I figured it wouldn't do much to help but for $10 I'd give it a shot. I cannot praise this product enough. It has become a staple in my face care routine. I am no longer dealing with painful acne. I still have minor acne but it's just that -- minor and much less frequent. I wouldn't say that using this alone would control my breakouts but it has massively improved my skin. My face feels hydrated but not oily, does not leave my skin dry, and the smell is incredible. I use it twice a day after washing my face. I am so glad I gave this a chance. Highly recommend.

I'm in love with this stuff. I use makeup on a regular basis, so keeping my face clean with a product that's not harsh on my skin, and can be used daily is VERY important to me. After washing my face in the shower daily (African black soap and an extra soft bristle face brush), I put some of this witch hazel on a cotton round and wipe my face clearing any leftover makeup. I also use this on my neck and it's been clearing the dark spots that have plagued me for years (it's working)! The smell is light and pleasant, and there is no sticky residue of any kind. I'm so in love. I use this in conjunction with rose water spray which I also got from Amazon, and my face is bright, clean, smells great, pores reduced, and my skin is POPPIN baby! It's so fresh feeling and fresh looking, after this simple routine, I can (and often do) just walk out of my house without an ounce of makeup on. I will keep my house stocked with this stuff like tissue from here on out. Thank you, Thayer's.

I'm attaching photos, the first in the grey is the before, the second in the black is the after. Before comparing these pictures, I didn't think that this formula was doing much for me. Then I realized that my face does look brighter and more even. There is a distinct blemish that I've had on the right side of my face (near my mole) that has been bothering me for a while. I was distracted because I continued to break out while using this product. After reading some of the other reviews, I was under the impression that this product might also help to stop my breakouts. It made me break out more along my jawline in the beginning, but I think I can chalk that up to my skin getting used to it. As a toner, this product does what it says it does. I would caution people prone to breakouts that they will probably breakout more for the first week or so and then it should go back to normal, if not better. I can now see that scars/blemishes on my face have decreased in visibility. This is a good, natural product. I swear I've been staring at that blemish since I got it and now it's leaving, slowly but surely! I am giving it 4 stars right now because it did make me break out on places that I don't usually have problems with anymore...I'm hoping that this symptom goes away. The biggest side effect is that my skin seems to have more little bumps along my jaw and cheek line. Though they aren't necessarily visible, it's changed the smoothness of my skin. I'd say it takes away dark spots, and is a little irritating at first. The good news is that I can wait for small pumps and pimples to leave relatively soon. My skin scars easily, so those marks are harder to deal with. This product has really helped me :)

I adore this - it didn't seem at all astringent and is more of a soothing post-cleanse wipe. It smells amazing and calms any redness I have - I've even started keeping moistened cotton pads in the fridge or freezer to place over my eyes when I wake up with allergies - I wouldn't let it drip *in* your eyes, but is so, so soothing. For me it works better at calming irritated eyes than literally any drops or "soothing masks" - the relief is immediate and lasts for hours. It's also great to rub on freshly shaved legs if your skin is sensitive or easily irritated, to keep in your car or at your desk as a refreshing mist or wipe when its hot out or your skin is dry, and to combine with aloe to soothe sunburned skin if you hate the aloe-y smell and stickiness. I buy this along with soft, thick cotton pads for everyone I know and they all adore it and repurchase. So worth the price.

A wonderful product that has helped fade my acne scars, made my pores smaller, controls breakouts, and soothes my skin. The scent is delicate and pretty. I love that it is alcohol free. I had flawless skin up until my late twenties when adult acne reared it's ugly head. After going to the dermatologist and being prescribed Tretinoin my acne was under control but I had dark scarring on my face. After being on Tretinoin for 2 years with little improvement on the scarring and very dry skin. I stopped using it and jumped on the Clarisonic Mia bandwagon. That was an epic disaster, the Clarisonic over exfoliated my face ( I even replaced brushes to try a more sensitive brush head) it gave me the worst breakouts ever. I had acne in places that I've never experienced problems with before and now had an ever growing number of dark purple scars from the blemishes. I tried Thayers and I'm happy to say that I only wash my face with Philosophy Purity as a cleanser, use the toner, and then a light moisturizer and my skin is bright, taut, glowing, blemish free and my acne scars are faint and getting better by the week ( been using Thayers for 6 months)
