Been using this for years it truly peels dead skin off I use it once a week. Its gentle yet effective. Leaves skin soft and bright after use.

The premise behind peeling gels are that you are supposed to rub them onto your skin - and after a few minutes, little balls of your "dead skin cells" would form! I was skeptical about whether or not this claim of exfoliating off your dead skin is true or not, so I put this product to the classic test - I wore a rubber glove and rubbed some of this product onto a clean plate. I rubbed, and I rubbed, but no balls formed! It just felt like I was rubbing lotion onto a plate, really. So, I tried it on my face, and the little balls of my "dead skin" formed! Personally, I find that quite fascinating. However, it could just be the cellulose in the ingredients (provided in one of the pictures) forming balls, but the product makes my face really smooth, and exfoliated afterwards, despite being a very gentle exfoliator. The pineapple and fruit extracts this peeling gel contains help to brighten my skin. I find that with consistent use of this product; approximately twice a week, my acne scars have brightened quite considerably, and I haven't been breaking out as often. And when I do break out, I just exfoliate using this product, and overnight, my pimples appear to have died down. I always use this at night, but be sure to wear sunscreen the morning after. This product uses a-hydroxy-acids (AHA) and enzymes which help with the exfoliation, and you should always wear sunscreen when dealing with any type of AHA's. Generally, I use this on my face, but this works as an exfoliator on any part of your body as well! Using this on your feet, your hands, or even your elbows works great as well. This product has a really nice fruity and fresh pineapple scent that leaves my skin feeling refreshed! I don't find any cons to this product.

Okay first, the little bits of stuff that ball up with rubbing is NOT dead skin. The product does this on any surface with sufficient rubbing, I tested it by applying a small amount to the side of a plastic container & rubbing it in with a latex makeup sponge. However, because you are rubbing that stuff around on your face, the balled up bits help to exfoliate & remove dead skin cells, you just don't shed a dramatic amount. I could tell it definitely did something, the rolled up balls that resulted from rubbing the plastic container remained completely white while the ones from my face were dingy & dirty looking. After rinsing it off, my skin looked cleaner, brighter & smoother. (And my face was freshly washed right before I applied the gel so it was already "clean.") The description says it contains alpha hydroxy acids & pineapple extract (bromelain?) which are two ingredients well known to help dissolve the bonds that hold the dead cells together. Chemical peels are done using AHAs but need to be fairly concentrated & have a low pH to cause actual peeling. This gel has very low concentrations of AHAs & the pH is too close to neutral to have that type of immediate effect. (which is the case for most OTC products containing AHAs, they work over time instead.) This gel is not a completely worthless product as it does exfoliate really well but its not exactly living up to its name as something that causes peeling.

I love this peeling gel! It is so gentle but effective. It clears my skin and leaves it so soft and clean. This gel will be on my skincare routine for good!

So I genuinely debated not writing this bc I love this product so much and I don’t want people to ruin it. It is so affordable, the best exfoliator on the market, and I’ve been obsessed for years. All these tiktok trends with the sprays and serums that pill/exfoliate skin- this has been doing it for years, quietly, consistently. This is the ingredient in all those wannabes trying-to-be’s. Sometimes gatekeeping is okay. So keep this underground and don’t ruin this for me! Also, don’t contact the Underground Pineapple Society, we’re not interested in new members clout chasing.

I really wanted to love this item but I don’t. The smell isn’t very good. The packaging is lacking but I feel like most of the skinfood line has poor packaging. I expected a lot of dead skin to come off and I expected a slight difference in my skin after using the product. Even if it was a temporary whitening or clarifying effect. I also expected a slight refreshed feeling on the face after using it. I was literally disappointed in every regard. I’m didn’t produce nearly as many balls of skin as expected. I do take very good care of my skin but I was shocked at how little. And a lot of what I was getting was coming from my fingers not my face. It’s not a horrible product and it’s very gentle. It’s just not for me. I think next time I’ll spend the extra money to get a more expensive brand. UPDATE- I tried the product on my arms where I have keratosis pilaris and it really helped/whitened them. I use it on my face 4 times per week and it’s reallu growing on me. I will add a star. I still want to try a more expensive brand but for now while I’m short on cash I’ll keep using this one.

I see post saying it's not actual dead skin in the balls on your face and regardless if that's true or not ....I use different products for exfoliniating and I could definitely feel a difference in smoothies after the first use ..so dead skin is definitely coming off my face. I really like this product. My face feels so clean.

I like this Skinfood’s product, like and others. It’s has great smell. After skin is soft and isn’t irritated. For me important that completely rolls off the face. The structure contains the smallest abrasive components, I think they help achieve such a good result and completely remove it from the skin. But there is one details: As we know, cosmetics manufacturers pay special attention to the design of their products. The previous design (with a round top and a bronze lid) won me over. I really received aesthetic pleasure when using this roller. Now the packaging looks like all other tubes. Bring back the old packaging!

Die Anwendung ist sehr einfach und effektiv. Das Peeling Gel entfernt im nu alle toten Hautpartikel. Nachdem das Gel ordentlich einmassiert wurde kann man direkt sehen was runtergeputzt wurde. Einfach abwaschen und fertig. Ich bin absolut überzeugt!

I have quite oily skin and I like to use an exfoliating product to keep my pores clear. This product is brilliant. You rub it into your face and you can see the dead skin on your hands, not super nice to see but reassuring that it's working. It smells great and you only need a small amount. Leaves my skin feeling soft and clean, but doesn't dry my skin out. Don't use too much as it will make your skin feel a bit tingly. Great value for money, one bottle lasted me nearly a year. When I needed to replace it I flinched at the price and bought a cheaper peeling gel. Stupid mistake. Cheaper product was useless and I ended up ordering this 1 a week later.

Im ordering the second one now , my skin is combination with no pimples, it gets very dry on my cheeks but this peeling gel is doing great removing the dead skin and its has no granular effect
