EPIC Provisions Uncured Bacon & Pork Bars, Gluten-Free, 12 ct, 18 oz

Amazing taste and texture!! They are salty but not as salty as traditional jerky. These are also soft and easy to eat. They do not hurt your jaw. Expensive but a nice treat.

Of all the Epic meats, I think this is the best one. So tender and porky. Not too salty, no other unwanted flavors. I eat these in the morning when I need to get something in my stomach without spiking my blood sugar. At that time of day, I don't really want something loaded up with onions, garlic, spice, etc. I appreciate the pure meaty taste of these bars.

I am a cyclist and eat a good amount of protein bars. I have eaten so many protein bars over the years that I'm not a fan of the normal ones any more. Edit: Flavor reviews 1. Chicken sriracha-nice and spicy. Good protein content. 2. Wild boar-tastes gamey. Greasy and not the best protein content 3. Salmon-maybe a little too much pepper. If you don't like it spicy, avoid. I like pepper but this was a bit too much for me. I'd eat this with a beer, which defeats the purpose of a low carb protein bar. 4. Bacon-tastes amazing. Probably not very healthy in the long run. 5. Bison-the cranberry and work well together.

Bought these for my husband. He says they don't taste quite like bacon, but they are really good. And sweetened with maple syrup. Good, clean snack.

I buy these for my son with autism for road trips. He is a very picky eater, so feeding him at a restaurant is always a big challenge. At the same time, I really want to avoid fast food. For me, these snacks are the perfect balance of convenience and healthy food that I can feel good about giving to my child.

I bought a box of these to keep at my desk at work in case I get hungry and after eating the first three, I ordered a second box. These are absolutely delicious. I also have the venison bars and while they're good, they're kind of dry, which these bacon and pork bars are not. The protein to carbs ratio is good too, so I don't feel bad about eating them and it's a much healthier snack than the junk sold at vending machines in the office.

Bacon Bars: I've been getting these on subscribe and save for a while and specifically chose this item because they did not have any type of added sugar. While mine always seemed dry, the flavor was good and I could deal with the dryness seeing as how I finally had a filling, no sugar snack to carry with me (and it tasted like bacon - even better!). Today I opened one from my most recent delivery and took a bite, only to taste a sticky sweet, pork flavored bar. It was so different, I wasn't sure if there was something wrong with it. I noticed the label read pork + maple bar, so I wondered if I was sent the wrong box. No, the company switched the product formulation and tried to pass it off as the same thing! My "100% sugar free...15g of protein" bar transformed into a "100% Natural Pork...8g of protein" bar. I also noticed the sodium increased to 590mg, from 330mg in the previous bar. I am extremely disappointed and have no desire to eat this new bar. It IS more moist, but I honestly don't like the flavor. I quickly cancelled my subscription and will not order any more products from Epic, as they no longer have items that work for me, nor do I feel I can trust them. (I have spent a lot on their bars and animal fats/oils, only to have to throw too many of them out due to being sour/off or poor tasting.)
