All in one product for acne skin
This is the best stuff I've ever put on my acne-prone, sensitive face skin. A little back story-- I got acne when I was 16 and figured it was normal, but I never outgrew it. At 28 years old I was suddenly very determined to find a cure and no longer accept that it was normal and that it was going to go away on it's own. I switched to natural makeup and organic skin care products, with no luck. Then I read about the oil cleansing method for skin care. It made sense to me, but I tried castor oil and avocado oil with no luck. I added honey wash, clay masks, exfoliating washes, but no luck. My acne would get better for a little bit, then always come back. Then I read about hemp seed oil having a certain chemical makeup that acne prone skin needs but is lacking. It also has a comedogenic rating of ZERO, so it absolutely will not clog your pores. So I added this to my regimen. It didn't cure my acne, but it was always my go-to product when my skin flared up because it was 100% sure to not irritate my irritated skin more. Finally I added lavender & tea tree essential oils (tea tree is known to treat acne and lavender is supposed to be calming) to my hemp seed oil and OMG this combination works great for my skin. I will never use commercial products again. Cure for acne--- Nothing you put on your skin will cure acne, it will only treat it. The cure comes from within by being healthier (maybe your diet is lacking something, or including something it shouldn't. Maybe it's a hormonal imbalance... it's different foreverybody). At the same time, people with acne can be more sensitive to things they put on their skin and more likely to get clogged pores from certain ingredients. So I decided to stop using ALL other products and ONLY use my hemp seed oil with lavender & tea tree essential oils. I even stopped putting castor oil in it (the oil cleansing method suggests castor oil for it's acne fighting properties, but it actually has a comedogenic rating of ONE and although unlikely, it CAN clog pores, especially if you are prone. It is also known to be drying to sensitive skin). I pour a little hemp oil in a cup and put a few drops of lavender and tea tree oil in it. At night, I rub it into my dry face for a minute to remove makeup, wipe it off with a wet wash cloth. For a deeper clean, I massage it into my face in a steamy bathroom/shower for ten minutes. The oil actually starts to feel a little grainy as little particles unclog from my pores. Gross, but very cool. Then wipe off with a wet wash cloth. I also use the same mixture as my daily moisturizer. I just put a few drops in my hand, rub them together and pat my face. I wait a few minutes for it to soak in and my makeup goes on so smooth! It takes time to unclog all pores (it doesn't all happen at once), but after doing this for a couple of weeks, I finally notice significantly less little bumps around my chin, which was my worst spot. The oils are also supposed to be healing for acne scars, but of course that takes time, though I do see improvement already. It also takes a little getting used to not having your skin have the smooth squeaky clean feeling, like after you wash or exfoliate. But, maybe it's not actually necessary to strip your skin like that. This is one of those cases where less really is more. And the best part of using natural oil on your face (versus medicated cleansers) is that there are no side effects. No redness, no dry skin, no burning, no anything other than clean and healthy skin. And if you want to make your own natural spot treatment, just put higher dose of the essential oils into the hemp oil. What I have found is that although my acne is not cured, my skin is no longer dry, flakey, or irritated, which are side effects from acne treatments and chemical ingredients. It keeps my skin soft and healthy while I work on being healthier on the inside to prevent acne in the first place. Maybe this will work for you, maybe it will work in combination with other oils or essential oils, but I think it's worth a shot. Even if it doesn't improve your acne, it definitely won't make it worse. And if it doesn't do anything for your skin, it's still not a complete waste because this oil can be used for other things, too. Hope this info helps somebody!

Great for skin. Appetite suppressant. An unexpected relief from arthritis. Oh, and it may have helped lower my cholesterol.
This oil is a great addition to my diet. I just wanted to see if it performed the way many people have commented on. It is a very nutty flavor, which I like. No weird aftertaste or grainy feeling on the back of my tongue. I don't notice any extra energy, but I'm not using it as much as I should. I do notice that it really does help curb my appetite. Okay - so I have to update this with some interesting info. After reading more in depth about the benefits of Hemp Oil, I started taking it twice daily (1Tbs in the morning, 1Tbs in the evening). The more I read about the Omega 3 and 6 ratio, the sterols, the amino acids, antioxidants that Hemp oil provides, I felt it was just stupid to not be more diligent about ingesting this daily. Heart disease runs in my family so anything to avoid it is important to me. I started religiously taking this twice daily about a month and a half ago. At that time, the area I live in was getting an excessive amount of rain for this time of year (and we still are). I have 2 toes that I fractured bad enough to need surgery, one was when I was a kid, the other just 3 years ago. The arthritis around those toes was really bothering me during this rainy period. It was actually causing me discomfort on my daily jogging. About 2 weeks into drinking this 2x a day, I realized I felt no pain in my toes. I wasn't even expecting it. It just hit me one day, "Hmm...my feet don't hurt". So, I looked into it and found that, yes, it should be expected that adding Hemp oil to your diet can help with arthritis. It keeps inflammation down. I just love how all of these natural substances that were once used then ridiculed are being proven to have legitimate results and are back in the spotlight. **ANOTHER UPDATE** So, my cholesterol was 240 last year. Although my good cholesterol was high, so was my bad. I didn't change my diet too much because I already eat very little meat. So, because using Nutiva Hemp Oil was one of the things I added each day, I wanted to let others know that as of 2 weeks ago, my cholesterol is 180. BOOM! I give credit to the hemp oil because I didn't add any other supplements or change my diet much more than what I already do.

Packaged in plastic bottle not glass
Nutiva organic hemp seed oil 24oz bottle: Oil seems fresh and has a pleasant smell & nutty flavor. I chose this brand as after reading a review that this product was in a glass bottle. Disappointed to see that mine is NOT. It’s in a plastic bottle which is disappointing. It is clearly labeled with the lot number and expiration date which is Jan 2026 (9 months from now) and its labeled Product of Lithuania. Appreciate the clear labeling; gave 4 stars due to plastic bottle.

The product is great. I wasn’t thrilled that my bottle that I received expires in two months but apparently that’s an issue with Amazon as the distributor. I’m very happy with the product itself.

Seems to be a quality product and does not appear to contain fish/nut/flower/alternate oils. Contains genuine hemp plant particulate and color.
