YAMAZAKI Home Wall Clock - Modern Wood Home Decoration Steel + Wood One Size Walnut

This clock replaced a boring old one and helped update my mantel with a more sleek, modern look that mixed a touch of the "woodsy" natural side with the modern iron. I used a small piece of tacky "earthquake clay" to hold it in place on the mantel instead of hanging on the wall. Works great. Not silent -- but not loud.

Simple, beautiful and a good size. This is made from real wood and metal. Hard to find these days! I chose a dark wood which makes it a tad hard to read in low light but really, I'm just nit-picking. The clock face is otherwise legible and clear and the size means doesn't dominate a wall which is exactly what I want. Everyone who's seen this clock remarks how beautiful it is.

The white part is metal and the wood has a really nice texture. Note that the clock does make a ticking sound, but I like it.

Update: After using it for a few weeks, I’ve noticed that the ticking can be quite loud in quiet environments, especially when trying to sleep. However, in spaces like the living room, it’s not too noticeable. I’ve deducted one star because of this. This wall clock is both stylish and practical. Its sleek design adds a touch of elegance to my space, making it feel more put together. The build quality feels solid, and it looks great on the wall. As for the ticking, it’s not loud or distracting to me. If you’re in an ultra-quiet space, you might notice it more, but in my environment, I barely notice it at all. Overall, this clock strikes the perfect balance between aesthetics and function. Definitely recommend!

I rarely ever take the time to write reviews, but this clock is beautiful! Exactly what I was looking for.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the color for the white version is darker in real life than whats on the image. But thankfully it doesn't bother me as much as it still matched my other wood tone furniture. The clock has a ticking sound so thats another dock in the star but overall the built and wood is solid. Heavier than most wall clocks.

Die Uhr von Yamazaki ist wirklich ein Lichtblick im großen Feld der Wanduhren, mit denen der Online- und Baumarkt überschwemmt werden. Ohne gleich ein explizites Designerstück zu sein, das vom Hersteller dann preislich vergoldet wird, ist das trotzdem gutes Design (wie fast alles von Yamazaki), im Entwurf und vor allem auch in der Ausführung - das Metall ist hochwertig gearbeitet und lackiert, das Ziffernblatt ist echtes Holz das sehr sauber gefertigt und eingesetzt wurde - kein Vergleich zu den Billig-Pressspan-Motivdruck-Laserarbeiten der (Preis)konkurrenz. Nur die Zeiger sind etwas sehr dünn, was aber nur beim ersten Ansehen und Aufhängen auffällt. Zu Bedenken: Das Uhrwerk ist leise - aber es tickt. Wenn man alleine im Raum sitzt und wirklich nichts los ist, nimmt man das wahr, aber mit der geringsten Geräuschkulisse ist das ausgeblendet. Der Kontrast zwischen Ziffernblatt und Zeigern ist nicht gigantisch hoch - bei eher schlechter Beleuchtung wird es zunehmend schwieriger die Zeit abzulesen. Kinder könnten die Ziffern vermissen. Wir werden noch eine zweite Uhr fürs Wohnzimmer ordern, hochwertiger wird's nicht mehr in dieser Preiskategorie.
