Meh - it was OK
I hate writing reviews like this and I wish I could say I enjoyed Raw Desire, because I so enjoyed the rest of the series, but it was MEH from start to finish. It was a momumental effort on my part to chew through until the bitter end and I really had to force myself - in fact I read two other books while I read this one which is unheard of for me as I am normally a one-book-at-a-time gal! I found myself looking at the progress % to gauge when I would finish it and be free to read something else more enjoyable. What I liked was seeing past "couples" and seeing a glimpse of other characters who hopefully will have a book coming up. What I didn't like was Allison - I found her whiny and annoying - and I always felt Ryder was on the outer, even at the end. I never bought into Allison and Ryder, but I thought Dillon and Allison had great chemistry. I also thought the dialogue between the three of them was overly repetitive and boring. That said I will likely continue with the series as I know there are upcoming characters I want a HEA for and would like to get to know better. Unless you are the type of person to read every book in a series (like I am), I would almost suggest skipping this one. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't necessarily as good as the others.

Love Desire series !
Dillon and Ryder are awesome alpha men! Alison (Ally), is a bit immature, bruised and beaten down by the old boyfriend. But with the guys help, she (too slowly) grows and learns to find her footing and trust. As "they" say, there is someone out there for everyone. Nobody is perfect. The great characters in Desire, OK are wonderful. I feel like I know the people because Leah Brooke is such a great author. Love a good Leah Brooke story. The "Desire" series is well written and interesting. This one was a bit to long in the back and forth of Ally finally deciding to be together. Deep thoughtful feelings, hot menage sex and romance. I love how she introduces new characters to this little town of Desire. These stories are wonderful, and I will keep reading the whole series! ENJOY !!.

Desire for the Desire series
I especially like the menage stories of this series. I also enjoy revisiting the characters from the previous stories. But the story I am really looking forward to is the story of Lucas, Caleb and Devlin. This story was enjoyable and I felt for the two week time frame of the story it was believable for Alison to have trust issues with Ryder and Dillon and with the way the town is run. After all, she grew up with the people in her own town and still they all turned against her. Anyway, keep the Desire, Oklahoma stories coming (pun intended) and I'll keep buying and reading them. I recommend this book to anyone who likes the menage city concept.

A wonderful series, you will enjoy it
Start with book 1 and go from there. with all books, you will find a few typos but the over all story is amazing, each one is with a different character in Desire and with all the personalities the story lines will differ. You will enjoy each of the books in a different way. I can't wait for the rest of the town to get their turn to tell their story. With so many left to tell The Author has many books left to go and I am hoping soon to hear about Ethan & his partner, they have helped everyone else in the town and deserve their HEA also.

I Was Hoping for More
This book number six in the Desire Oklahoma Series. I am a huge fan of Leah Brooke and this series but even as lengthy as the story was out of all of them it was my least favorite. I guess I'll start by telling you briefly what the story is about. This is the story of Ryder and Dillion and Allison. Allison comes to Desire not only to escape her abusive ex and the town that seems to worship his family but to re-become herself under the semblence of a seminar on learning how to sexual please a man, so you don't have to worry about them going elsewhere. Her ex Danny did a real number on her confidence. She meets Ryder and Dillion and is immediately attracted to them but can't get pass what her ex has done and is still doing to her.Through a series of things that happen I found it really hard to like Allison's character. She was abused and because of how the ex treated her, instead of doing the opposite she's hostel but at the wrong time. It made me not like how she treats Dillion and Ryder. It should have been about trust building but the story made her into a user. At times, no matter what anyone in town tells her or they show her she refuses to believe them. I can understand that but when you see things whith your own 2 eyes, then what? And even though the sex scenes are hot in their own right I found I didn't care for Allison so much I was just wanting to get through them to finish the book. I also wished that her character spent more time getting closer to the other wives in Desire because the show of support at the end seems kind of out of place.I liked Dillion and I liked Ryder even more and I wish I liked Allison then I could have loved this story. But I liked well enough to read future books in the series.

compelling
This is another by Leah Brooke that I could not put down, and this one is longer than most. But the story kept me going and her style of writing is very good. I wouldn't call this one my favorite, but it is a wonderful read that really takes your mind off your mundane problems, which is really the whole point isn't it?

The first time I've ever regretted paying for a Leah Brooke book. Whiny, selfish, unlikeable female lead....
I'm possibly one of Leah Brooke's biggest fans, and always get her books immediately they come out, so this one was bought on the release date, but it was a 'stop/start' book for me, not a 'can't put it down' one. I am pretty disappointed with it, and that I paid nearly seven squid for it. I may just have to have a re-think on LB being an autobuy, as neither this, nor Amanda's Texas Rangers, Crescendo or Untamed Desire were that great either. Back to this book:As often seen in LB books, the female lead, Allison, has escaped a physically and mentally abusive ex, and I could empathise with her for being scared of his threats, but she was also not very likeable. At times I felt like asking Dillon and Ryder why they continued to bang their heads against a brick wall, when clearly she objected to everything they said and suggested, and queried a lof of the stuff that Desire stood for. At the same time, both guys were a bit OTT on the possessiveness and protective front, given that they'd known her for only around 5/6 hours, and Ryder in fact seemed like a bit of an a**!What was also not believable is that though she had researched enough about Club Desire and signed up for a week's seminar, she seemed incredulous at the menage lifestyles and relationships, despite seeing trios with her own eyes, and then discussing trios and quartets with many of the female leads from previous books. There is no way she could have ignored the history of the town.Yes, it had the typically hot menage sex that we see from LB, but as characters, none of the trio were particularly likeable for me, and therefore this is not a book that I will read and re-read, unlike with Desire books 1-5. A pity. The only part of the book that made me think that I will need to continue with the series is that we are given hints of not all being well in Nat's world. Though she's been a character since pretty much the start of the series, her tale hasn't been told, yet she's happily married to one man. I'm intrigued enough to know more about what is up...but maybe I'll wait til the books have been out for a while and drop in price. For what I paid for this one, I'm sad and disappointed to say it wasn't worth it IMHO.

Read Blade's and Dark Desire rather than this one!
Has to be the poor cousin of the other DESIRE books. Reason is due to Alison (female lead) being so erratic in what she wants. The "no I can't" /"yes, I can" gets to be annoying. Poor plot doesn't help. Struggled to complete this one, not so the recommendations below.Read Blade's Desire or Dark Desire or better still Crescendo!

Inter link story
Well written story that is a follow on in the series to characters you have previously met. Ok story but not as involved as earlier books.

Well Written & Thoroughly enjoyed
I have to say that reading the other reviews I was very tentative to go ahead and get this book, but am so glad that I did! The reason that I went ahead was justified, as I have always enjoyed Leah's novels especially in this series and was hoping that she would incorporate her other characters from the previous books, which to my enjoyment she did - very consistently in character too. I must also say that I loved these three main characters and look forward to upcoming books to see their growth and development too. And as always no disappointment either in the HOT, HOT Sex scenes, that are so much more than just sex! Definitely worth a read!
