Tons of historic photos
Bought as a gift for my brother who has lived in this area all of his life. I rummaged through this book, and I know he will be absolutely so thankful for reliving history of his hometown.

Mckees rocks and stowe township a history of a town in western Pa.
McKees Rocks was the town in Pa. where my mom had her beauty shop for50 years. I am familiar with many of the names in the book and much o f the history. There is a picture in the book of Mom's shop at its first location on Chartiers Ave.McKees Rocks is a unique little industrial town typical of Western Pa.So many memories like the Chartiers Creek flooding each year. The 2nd location of Mom's shop was further up on Chartiers-only a fire stopped her fromworking at Tillie's Beauty Shoppe-she was in her 80's by then,.The book is a piece of history that resonates with me and my family.Audrey Code

Excellent Book
This book "McKees Rocks and Stowe Township - Images of America" is a valuable source of historical events and past archives like the McKees Rocks Bridge under construction and The 1936 Pittsburgh Flood. This book has a lot of old photographs and printing relating to the photos describing everything in full detail. I just love this book.

My Hometown
It is just great we have such a talent as Bernadette Sulzer Agreen, to publish a thorough History of my hometown. I hope they keep it in stock, it brings back so many memories.I'm sure more of, from my old neighborhood, would love this book.

Good info. about Hungarian Immigrants
Plenty of good pictures and commentary; with an index of names, I would give it a five.

Nostalgic look back
This book has lots of history. There are lots of pictures of local residents and businesses. One is and old photo of my great-grandparents and some of their 14 children, including my 97 year old grandmother. So naturally we had to have the book and it is sold out locally.

Very enjoyable.
I read this book to help me understand more about the town my grandfather the up in during 1900-1935. I found it fascinating and plan to visit McKees Rocks soon.
