Kukui Nut Nourishing Oil, 4.5oz - Natural Vegan Body Care From Hawaii

As the weather changes from hot and humid summer to cool and dry autumn, my skin gets thirsty. Like chapped lips, but all over my arms and legs. Not nice. I'm always on the lookout for a moisturizer that will relieve that dry, crackly feeling. But I have sensitive skin, so I need pure products without a lot of chemicals.This oil instantly relieves the dry skin discomfort and absorbs quickly, so I don't feel like a walking oil slick after applying it. I'm very happy with this product!Strong fragrances are problematic for me, so I tend to avoid floral fragrances and look for something more neutral. I had no idea what "kukui nut" would smell like, but I thought I'd risk it. I don't know of many nuts that smell overpoweringly of flowers, so it seemed a safe bet. And it was. It's a little coconutty, a little toasty, rather like the aroma of toasting pine nuts in butter. It's very subtle and very appealing.

This oil is good for both skin and hair. It's full of nourishing oils (coconut, macadamia, avocado, jojoba) and has a light vanilla fragrance. You can use it directly on skin and hair or add it to other products. It makes a good pre-poo or hot oil treatment for curly hair. This bottle of Kukui Oil smells very nice! The product description of 'a subtle, nutty aroma with a dash of vanilla' is spot on. The scent is pleasant but not overpowering. I do find that the nutty scent dissipates and leaves the vanilla standing alone and I would prefer the reverse. The clear oil blend is thin enough to spread evenly and most of it is absorbed well. There is a little left on the skin, even after a few hours, but it's more like a protective film than an oil. In other words, it doesn't really feel oily after it soaks in. My skin feels great! The oil contains mostly clean ingredients including oils of kukui nut, safflower, coconut, macadamia nut, jojoba, and avocado. Vitamin E is added as a natural preservative and is used in most skincare products. The vanilla scent comes from fragrance oil, a synthetic ingredient, and it smells okay. As mentioned above, i would prefer a little less vanilla in this oil. Overall, however, it's a nice product and the quality is great.

Scents often give me migraines. This oil smells amazing and hey, no headaches!Works very well on my dry, sensitive skin even during this heat wave we are experiencing which would usually be when little to nothing can keep my skin feeling healthy and moisturized. A little goes a long way but this is a small bottle for a body oil. Also works on hair.

So I love lathering my skin with body oil after i shower so this body oil is perfect. I wanted something that smells good and this Island Essence Kukui Nut is perfect. I love how it leaves my skin hydrated and shiny and it's good on my feet as well. I also got the cream which smells amazing as well. 5 stars all the way!

I like that the scent of this product is not overpowering - it has a mild scent kind of like coco. Even though this is an oil, it goes on light and sinks in almost immediately not leaving you feeling oily. I even used it on my face and it wasn't too oily.

This oil smells fresh and amazing. It goes on well and absorbs well also. It is a nice squeeze bottle with pop top. The first ingredient is safflower oil. We like that it is vegan. We love that it is made in Hawaii.

This smells so so good! Feels good on the skin. I really like it.
