Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP - Onyx (Renewed) [video game]

Was packaged well and came with a charger! Super excited popped in a game I played as a kid 20+ years ago! Waiting to see what the battery life will do in the long run but so far it’s in great condition and I couldn’t be more excited! At first the game came up blank but I took the cartridge out and blew in it and it’s working and saving not bad for a game that has been sitting in a cabinet for 20 plus years!

When I received the product, the charging port and link cable port were both filthy. The audio crackled a bit at higher volumes, and not to mention the fact that the backlighting was much dimmer than it should be, the screen had lines across it.. and the damn thing wouldn’t charge. It just seems like they sent me a Gameboy advance SP as-is instead of doing anything at all to fix it up.

There were very minor scratches and scrapes on it but they weren't noticeable unless looking really hard. Some backlights are spotty but they still work. Overall 5 stars and great product.

I had one of the advance sp as a child and this one feels cheap compared to what I remember. The plastic feels like a reshell at least and the screen isnt vibrant and only has on and off for the back light. I distinctly remember multiple brightness levels. Also the down button, b button and both shoulders cant make up their mind if they want to work or not or if they want to stick or not. Cant use it for rapid inputs or precision games like metroid fusion like I had intended to. It is able to play games like pokemon or turnbased games like final fantasy, its just not a good feel. I should have gotten one off of marketplace, it would have been cheaper and i would have known what i was getting before spending the money. Hopefully mine was just a dud. Definitely a disappointment.

I was skeptical at first, but after receiving the gameboy advanced sp glad to say everything worked in perfect condition. I charged it with the charger provided, it turned on, and was immediately able to get started with a game.

The item is in good condition except the screen is slightly slanted and it’s also a bit darker than it should be but it works considering how old it is it’s funny my phones pictures make it look like it should be but it is really dark on my end good phone lol

I purchased a refurbished GBA SP in black here on Amazon, and paid the big bucks for the "excellent" refurbished product. Overall, it's okay, but a few things to note here and be aware of... 1. Amazon promises the following..."This product is in "Excellent condition". The screen and body show no signs of cosmetic damage visible from 12 inches away."...not so with the one I received. The unit has a box-cutter scratch on the screen, in the lower left corner, which is quite visible from much further away. 2. Power adapter to charge the battery is extremely tight and somewhat difficult to push in. Obviously not stock, but okay... 3. The internal hardware seems legit, but the casing is bootleg. Not sure if a new case was applied as part of the refurbishment process, or if Amazon accepted the unit in this condition with a bootleg case. I can tell due to the un-even arrangement of the pin prick speaker holes above the select and start buttons, that its not an original shell. Granted, I would rather have the bootleg shell over a beat up, scratched and dented one, but considering the price tag, I was a little disappointed. A replacement glass GBA SP screen lens is very cheap to purchase and self install, so will just go that route to remove the box cutter scratch. Overall, not a bad purchase, albeit a tad expensive to take the gamble.

Games run great and it came with a charger! I've been running Pokémon Crystal on it for over a week now and everything has been great!
