ST4049B Sportrek Black Roof Rack

This universal roof rack is poorly designed... secured to the roof four tiny self tapping screws any highway speed resistance would rip the rack right off the roof and the instructions are useless.. hardly any description and almost no images, involves drilling holes in the roof of your car and is not even wide enough to fit into the designated roof rack slots of a Kia Soul DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE KIA SOUL. Spend the extra money and go to Kia or a reputable after market company

Looks very nice. Pretty easy installation. We put some double sided adhesive under the rails for padding and extra adhesion. We have been using it about 8 months. I was worried about putting something that was going to be permanent on the car. But I am super happy with it. We loaded it down when we went on vacation and have had no problems.

After finally installing the rack My wife was very excited Because she wanted to be able to haul her new kayaks. Since it is still winter we have not tried them yet. They Look good and seam to be strong enough. The only down fall is that at high speed they do give a noise in the car, that was not there before. Not noisy enough to be annoying But you can hear it.

The product itself looked good but my car was not capable of having it mounted according to directions and the mechanic did not want to drill holes.

This product is German made. Sturdy and tough. It just took awhile to line up the mounting holes and screw in the bolts. I would recommend these cross bars.

Item was stated to fit my Kia soul, it does not! No way near fitting.

I think it is a good product for the price but did not want to start drilling all kind holes in my car. Did not even line up with the factory holes that were in my car.
