Opaque, great quality, flexible.
Really impressed when I received this today, nice opaque color, flexible and great quality. Have not tested it out yet, but when I do, will update my review.Update: cut super on my Cricut Maker, play around with setting, remember, you can always hit the cricut button for more cuts instead of unloading the mat. Cut really small pieces with no problems, great thick stencil material. I would buy it again. Washed off easily with medium paste. Tape came off clean.Strong purple mat:Custom setting:TRANSPARENCY3305 xPressure moreBlade fine cut

Inexpensive, large sized stencil material
Stencils are one of those things that are a productivity multiplier.Whether you are using them in crafting (for things like borders), industrial shipping and production (to quickly label a lot of something), or just for interior decorating (for making nice, repeating patterns), stencils are great.I could not beat the price for 7mm stencil material, and it is 300 mm X 300 mm, not quite 12" X 12" but very close.I used the stencil slugs in a variety of ways, and generally this stencil material is very good. For the price, you simply cannot beat it.A few items to help you manage expectations.First, if you are using a cutting machine (which I am assuming that most of you are) then know that the material tends to bend a bit. So, when the blade cuts this stencil material, the material will "pooch up" a bit. Also, because the material does not cut cleanly (and I tried a variety of new blades and settings - the material is just a little too "plastic" to take a clean cut), it will tear a bit for medium to detailed work. This will lead to less than perfectly crisp cut outs, and if you are using either ink or spray paint, the ink or paint will tend to pool under the areas of the stencil that pooch up.Again, for the price, you cannot beat these stencils.Just be aware both of their capabilities and their limitations.I will definitely buy this brand again, and use it for work that does not require large amounts of precision detail.

Nice heavy stencil material
I like the thickness of this stencil material. It's structure is a bit sturdier so you can use the stencil repeatedly without the edges curling around the cut out area. That way paint etc isn't bleeding under the stencil and smearing your project.

Perfect after you figure out to cut it twice.
THANK YOU to the people on here who mentioned cutting the same mat twice. At the end of the cycle, instead of unloading the mat I just hit the start button again. This is for the Cricut Explore Air 2 with premium fine cut blades, set between posterboard and bonded fabric.

Stencil on cricut
I bought these to make stencils with a Cricut Machine and they worked beautifully. I followed the instructions included in the packet and had no problems at all.. Definitely a great thickness for stencils.

does the job
I used these to make stencils that I would transfer on wood with a brush and acrylic paint. they are sturdy and don't bleed. however cutting them (on cricut) is a bit tricky specially if the design has got more details.

Hard to cut with Cricut Explore but durable
This came very quickly and is very good quality. After tweaking with my cricut settings and destroying a strong bond mat, I found that the flat cardboard setting in custom materials with more pressure and a deep point blade was the best setting for me. There are areas that don't cut all the way through but it can be snapped off pretty easily. Overall, I really like the material.

Suitable for Home Made Stencils
I used this product to create an original stencil which I used on a dining room wall. The mylar was flexible enough to cut with scissors (nail scissors, as it was fairly intricate), but rugged enough to tolerate multiple reuse to create a wall-paper effect. I found it difficult to cut with a knife or heated stencil cutter, but perhaps someone with stronger hands, a better knife, or a simpler design could do that. This was the first time I have tried to do something like this and was quite pleased with the product and eventual effect.
