Stopped Working After One Year
Almost a year to the day, I noticed my pond getting lots of algae and the UV indicator light was not lit. I figured it was needing some normal minor maintenance. I ordered a new bulb, switched it out and the indicator light was still not coming on. I worked on it a bit and noticed during testing that the entire unit was not turning on. So, now I have an almost $400 piece of plastic trash.Not worth the money or aggravation for just a year's use and will buy a replacement from a different manufacturer.

JUNK, 1st one lasted almost a year, 2nd one lasted just over a year. Not worth the high cost.
Not worth the high cost.The ballast died within the first year. Lucky it was still under warranty ( 2nd one lasted just over a year.). Out of warranty now. If it wasn’t it would have been $250 to replace.New lamps are $80 a year.Quartz sleeve is low quality. End chips easy and will probably need to be replaced yearly at $50. Replacement prongs are extra.This unit is not cheap to maintain. At minimum $130 a year.
