Still Pretty.
This was a fabulous fragrance when it came on the scene in the early 70โs. However, since then, other companies created cheaper versions under different names, so that decades later, it just smells like a drugstore brand. I paid an exorbitant amount so Iโm keeping it and will use it as an everyday scent.

Just as I remembered
Had not found this fragrance in years...but to be honest I hadn't really looked. Was glad to find it on Amazon and am not disappointed. Would recommend to anyone who remembers this light scent or who wants to try a 'new' fragrance that isn't overpowering. It will seem a little strong when you first spray it on, but soon lessens then stays for hours.

This is not a fragrance!
I rarely review a product & when I do it is positive. There is a first time for everything. This product was beyond horrible. I was thrilled to find it again as it was always my scent until it disappeared. The original vintage 1970 formula has been radically changed. There was no scent at all except alcohol and something that smelled liked bug spray! I wasted almost $80 on this. I do not understand why YSL canโt just recreate the original formula which is so perfect & beloved. I gave this 1 star because it was required. Do NOT waste your money on this garbage.

An Always classic fragrance
I have always loved Rive Gauche. Its a classic French fragrance though not always available for purchase these days. Loved that I found it. Just as wonderful as ever.

Just how I remember this fragrance
This is such a lovely, timeless scent unlike some of the other older fragrances which smell outdated. I did not realize how much I missed this scent until I began wearing it again. I had not worn this since I was a teen going to dances in the early 1980's. In recent years, I have tried many different fragrances and always found something annoying about most of them. I can wear Rive Gauche all day, everyday and never get annoyed or tired of the fragrance. I read other reviews saying the scent has been changed,but to me is smells just like how I remember it. I LOVE IT!
