The quality seems really good so far, very durable and they are waterproof. Definitely recommend these for anyone looking for a comfortable trail shoe. Super happy with my purchase!

Bought these for a travelling trip back in February which consisted of hikes, trail runs, and general day to day wear. I was especially concerned about the trip/footwear because I had just injured my big toe ("Turf toe"), and it had affected my walking. Despite this, they were really comfortable to wear on all terrain and no discomfort after several hours wear, no matter the weather or terrain. They offered good grip on mud, rocks and hilly walks and runs. I ended up getting special insoles for Turf toe injuries which made the shoes even more comfortable to wear. I got the non goretex ones because I was going to be in South America, and wanted breathable shoes. When they got wet, they dried fairly quickly. So this was a good trade off. Thing to note though... They fit small. I am typically an UK size 7, but after a bit of online faff and eventually having to go to to a shop to get my feet properly measured and try on the mens and womens version in half size increments... I settled on a womens UK size 8. Would definitely recommend, 6 months later, I wear them everyday and they're even more comfortable.

This is the second pair I have bought, they last ( first pair7 yrs on some difficult terrain) and they correct some of my wonky foot movement. The sole is reassuringly chunky and I thought the lacing system might break but it hasn't. I only wish they came in lighter colours.

My wife loves these shoes she wears them when we do long walks. Finding a pair of shoes that don't give her blisters is hard. This is her second pair of Salomon's and she has been blister free. She buys a half size up for comfort and there is no need to walk them in. Great shoes thinking of getting a pair for myself.👍

Not waterproof at all. My second pair failing. Comfort and grip ok but Meindls much better! I have had it with Salomon

Good shoe

I bought these shoes because I have started running on top of the ridge of the mountain where I live, running on pavement, stony paths, grass, bumpy ground, mud and bog. I have found them to have excellent grip and 100% waterproof. One day they got muddy so I washed them half in a stream - even so they did not let water in. If you are looking for walking shoe that isn't heavy these would tick that box, but they are perfect for off-road running. Straight out the box they have been comfortable for me. I bought a half-size bigger (8.5 instead of 8) I usually buy support shoes or use an insole, but these feel really supportive in all the right ways. I think I like the speed laces, I tighten them 3 times before I get going, but then they keep the shoe tight and are really easy to take off. I wholeheartedly recommend these shoes. I've owned a lot of running shoes and walking shoes (these are a kind of mix of both) but these have probably impressed me the most.

Well, they're not waterproof unfortunately, so that description is inaccurate - and a waterproof walking shoe was what I needed so I didn't have an excuse for not going for walks in the rain. I went for a half hour walk in light drizzling rain, and the rain seeped through the mesh a bit; socks not soaking wet, but enough to make my socks damp on the top of my feet and my feet got cold. I think this walking shoe is too expensive for them not to actually be waterproof and I'm disappointed. Sizing - I originally went for my usual size (6.5) which were too small. I returned the shoes for a size 7. These could have been half a cm longer, but they're ok and I kept them.

These are great! They're waterproof, so no more morning dew soaking through my shoes, which creates a really optimal environment for blisters. They fit perfect, I'm usually a 9.5 and these were spot on, and my feet are somewhat narrow and these feel comfortable not too snug. I also kind of love not having to tie my shoes, they just have the cinch cord. Though don't pull it as tight as you would tie a shoe, I wore it too tight for the first couple days and it really hurt the top of my foot but after I figured that out they were fine. They're durable and look to be made really well, and also have a decent grip on the bottom which is essential for me. This is a five star shoe for me, I can't remember ever having a better, more comfortable sneaker.
