The spark that would ignite the Fire and fan the flames to burn for several years, is heard in later recordings. EWF seemed to be searching for their own musical sound and identity while sounding like other soul and funk bands of the early 1970's, in their first two album recordings.

Love the CDs. I used them to replace my vinyl albums.

as they celebrate 50 years this this year this is a must have for the earth, wind, and fire fan not they're best piece of work but a look into what was to come later

1st two recordings sessions as Earth, Wind, and Fire are a must have. I imported songs to my iTunes library and then sync to my iPhone. Only thing I didn’t like was a few songs transferred the titles as unknown.

I love Earth, Wind and Fire and adding this special release to my collection is essential. Although these discs do not measure up to the band's Columbia releases over the next 10 years, the provide a snapshot of the band's initial members and potential for greatness.

So happy to finish my EWF collection with these Gem's must have.

専門的に言うと音圧が上がっているらしく、小音量でも聴きやすくなっています。初期二枚を一枚にまとめたもので、初期ゆえ完成度は高くはないが、アースファンなら是非聴いておくべき。

のちのちの大ヒット・ディスコ・チューン大量生産バンドとは思えないかっこよさ。知らずに聴いたらジャズロック系のプログレです。かっこいい。

最新リマスターで2タイトルが収録されているということで、購入してみました。2枚のジャケットが横に並んだ写真のジャケットなのかと思い、これはちょっと抵抗がありましたが、実際には2枚のジャケットが映った紙のスリーブケースに入っていて、中のCDのブックレットは、表面が2ndアルバムのジャケット、裏面が1stアルバムのジャケットになっていました。これは嬉しい誤算。また、登録情報の欄には『ディスク枚数：2』と表記がありますが、1枚のディスクに2タイトルが収録されています。リマスターされた音質ですが、元の録音が古く高音質と呼ぶには少し疑問がありますが、私が持っている90年代のCDと比べますと、一聴して明らかに差を感じることができます。音圧が上がり、全体的な分離が良くなっている...よくあるリマスター盤を連想すれば、ほぼ期待を裏切られることはないと思います。

First two albums from the Amazing EW&F! Very happy with the sound quality of the CDs! They arrived on time and on perfect condition! Love both and they show that EW&F hit the ground running from the outset!! Great price too!!
