Dragon Age: The First Five Graphic Novels [Gaider, David, Freed, Alexander, Rucka, Greg, DeFilippis, Nunzio, Weir, Christina] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Dragon Age: The First Five Graphic Novels Review: good for graphic novel readers. very colorful - one very large book. my 11 year old loves graphic novels. very much a graphic novel. not alot about dragons Review: An excellent way to catch up on the graphic novels - I'm a bit late to the game when it comes to dragon age, I only just got into it.... at the end of 2019 I think? So theres some stuff that's been out for a while that I'm still catching up on, like the graphic novels. I really, REALLY enjoyed these. It's so fun to see little nods to the games, and to be able to catch on to what's going on right before it happens because I know and love these people, and see a bunch of the people mentioned in the war table missions in inquisition (hey Maevaris, I adore you!!) I read it on the kindle app, and it flows really well in terms of page structure and layout - that's something I struggle with sometimes, with graphic novels. I'll have to reread a whole page 4 times trying to figure out what order the speech bubbles go in. I didnt have that issue here! If theres one teeeeeeensy tiny thing I disliked about the graphic novels, it's that alistair is drawn with silvery blue eyes when in origins they're a honey brown. Not the biggest deal. Everything else was *kisses fingers* And to anyone reading this review that is as generally new to the graphic novels as I am, there's more after this one! It doesn't end here! Look for the blue wraith ones, they're about fenris and I read them first, and I wish I'd have read these ones first because some new characters carry over from these graphic novels and I didnt know them at the time so I was lost for a bit. But now I know who they are! So I think I'll go reread 'em.

An excellent way to catch up on the graphic novels

Perfect Condition!
Ive loved the DA series for a long time. So I figured i would get the graphic novels as well. Im not sure if im lucky, bc i was initially a bit worried about the condition of the books based on the other reviews here, but the box was fine and the book looks great!

Took a risk and can confirm... expect damages
Based on other mixed reviews of this omnibus arriving damaged in some way, shape, or form: The likelihood of it happening to whomever purchases this item is high. Though unsealed; without plastic film upon arrival, I was fortunate that the damages to my copy were minimal, not immediately noticeable, and only affected the front cover of the book; while the rest of the pages inside remained intact. Doesn't help either that this omnibus was released as a paperback instead of it being a hardcover copy.

Great stories
Iโve never read any graphic novels but Iโm really enjoying these. Super convenient to have so many in one book though. Really well made.

This volume compiles three big adventures. But, I can't strongly recommend any of them. The first one have Alistair, Varric and Isabela as protagonists in a tale that ends Maric Theirin chapter in a very poorly written way. And even worse, they introduced the most cliche final villain at all Thedas. Even Dorian would be offended The second one is an adventure that runs in parallel with the third game. Characters introduced here are hard to like, but at least they have some substance. And the fan service is under control. To be honest, is the best of this volume. Finally, we got a third adventure with two extra characters, where the main protagonist it is just hard to like due her background is just poorly written. The three adventures make certain use of fan services, trying to put as many characters from the games as possible, on particular the first and third one. It is also evident that Bioware did not supervise the aesthetics of any of them, as there are just wrong choices on many of them. Something that in the written novels rarely happens. Finally, while I can appreciate the character development done on the first adventure, the new characters... lacks substance most of the time. This is particularly true for the latest adventure. They seems to be cannon, at least from the novel Tevinter Nights, but right now, they are not well written.

The story has all your favourites in it. Varric and Bianca plus Isabela's back and forth are great

Really loving it so far. I can't get enough to read stories with old characters from DA franchise ๐ I never get tired of Varric, Isabela and Alister adventures.
