Dragon Age: The First Five Graphic Novels Paperback – March 2, 2021

I'm a bit late to the game when it comes to dragon age, I only just got into it.... at the end of 2019 I think? So theres some stuff that's been out for a while that I'm still catching up on, like the graphic novels.I really, REALLY enjoyed these. It's so fun to see little nods to the games, and to be able to catch on to what's going on right before it happens because I know and love these people, and see a bunch of the people mentioned in the war table missions in inquisition (hey Maevaris, I adore you!!)I read it on the kindle app, and it flows really well in terms of page structure and layout - that's something I struggle with sometimes, with graphic novels. I'll have to reread a whole page 4 times trying to figure out what order the speech bubbles go in. I didnt have that issue here!If theres one teeeeeeensy tiny thing I disliked about the graphic novels, it's that alistair is drawn with silvery blue eyes when in origins they're a honey brown. Not the biggest deal. Everything else was *kisses fingers*And to anyone reading this review that is as generally new to the graphic novels as I am, there's more after this one! It doesn't end here! Look for the blue wraith ones, they're about fenris and I read them first, and I wish I'd have read these ones first because some new characters carry over from these graphic novels and I didnt know them at the time so I was lost for a bit. But now I know who they are! So I think I'll go reread 'em.

Ive loved the DA series for a long time. So I figured i would get the graphic novels as well.Im not sure if im lucky, bc i was initially a bit worried about the condition of the books based on the other reviews here, but the box was fine and the book looks great!

The actual graphic novels are great...nice art style and readability on a tablet. However, the functionality on my tablet is very lacking. I can't select the novel I want to read or even bookmark it. I can only read one page after another from the beginning and when I close and reopen I select "go" to furthest point read. There isn't even a table of contents or any sort of navigation at all.I like to read on my 13" tablet and I've gotten used to having all sorts of tools for functionality (dictionary, bookmarks, etc.) but there are none here and it makes the experience less than optimal.
