So much filter media! I ended up using this to replace the generic carbon filters in all my tanks. And I was able to stuff this in gaps on lids so my mystery snails don’t get out. No weird smell. Much larger than I was expecting
I didn’t read the dimensions before purchasing and was pleasantly surprised with the size. So much filter media! I ended up using this to replace the generic carbon filters in all my tanks. And I was able to stuff this in gaps on lids so my mystery snails don’t get out. No weird smell. Great value for the money

Microplastic pollutants
This is a lot of product for the price, and it performs well in polishing the water in terms of trapping biological debris. But none of that matters, because this is made of polyester (plastic) and constantly sheds tiny fibers… aka microplastics. When you cut it, it sheds even more microplastic fibers all over the place. The fibers are so lightweight they can float like dust so it’s guaranteed you will inhale some of them. Considering microplastics are the single biggest threat to aquatic life on earth, I certainly don’t want to expose my fish to this, let alone my family or the environment.

Not rolled but a lot of filter
Not as described(rolled up) but the the plus side is, the amount you get for $7. I’ll see how many hours the pad lasts. It’s seem a little cheaper than the usual ones that come with the tank. We’ll see
