It Worked for Me
I’ve been wrestling my thick, dry, bi-racial hair for 36 years and I was looking for something other than a relaxer to tame it. I live in a humid climate (during summer) and no matter what I do it, it won’t stay straight or retain moisture. I was told about keratin treatments during an Ulta haircut over two years ago, but I’ve never been willing to shell out the $250+ to get one. I came across at-home treatments online and decided to try this one. If it failed, not much was lost but time… Here’s my experience: -Process-I followed the instructions verbatim to get the best results. I washed, blow dried, applied keratin cream, blow dried again, straightened, and washed. People with finer hair textures could stop there, but I had to blow dry straight and iron again. As others have said, your hair will be a beast once you get the cream in it. Getting it dry and combing it through to get it straightened isn’t easy by a long shot. The fumes produced by this stuff are atrocious and if you don’t ventilate the area, you could very well choke to death (not kidding). Even with the window up, I still struggled through it and had sinus trouble afterwards. Overall, be prepared for the experience. I would say to set aside a solid 3-5 hours depending on hair length and texture. -Results-I was very pleased with how it turned out. Definitely looked like I’d been to the salon. Received several compliments. My hair was softer, sleek, and completely straight. Additional products I used in the final steps were It’s a 10 Leave-in and a little Chi silk serum. I applied it in September and humidity is still pretty high here in the southeast during that month, so I know that this product provided an actual defense against it. A first for me as I’ve used countless products before that claimed to help with humidity and did not. As for moisture, I saw a blanket statement on a haircare subreddit that people with dry hair shouldn’t do a keratin treatment because of the protein. This is categorically false. My hair has been both moisturized and healthy in appearance since using this. It actually seemed to seal moisture into my hair and prevent it from grasping at moisture in the air during high humidity. I had NO frizz and NO dryness because I applied it correctly with the right products. All I an say is everyone is an “expert” online and can literally just say anything. Do your own research and only trust reliable sources. You usually just have to try things for yourself to truly know if they’ll work for you. Longevity-Unfortunately, it’s been over a month now and I can tell a degradation in the treatment. My hair is still softer and more manageable than it is without the treatment, but it no longer gets/stays quite as straight and sleek after ironing. Humidity here has at least taken a huge dive, so I don’t have that to contend with until next spring. Nevertheless, my hair is still thick and the more I wash it, I can see it’s reverting back to its natural state. I’ve only used It’s a 10 shampoo/conditioner (paraben and sulfate free), so it’s not my fault. Unless your hair is only slightly problematic for you, this treatment will almost certainly NOT last you 12 weeks. I kind of expected this going in, but I had high hopes regardless. Overall opinion-I don’t really think this is practical for standard use. What I mean is, I can’t see myself doing this every 6-8 weeks, which is the frequency I’d clearly have to do it. It’s just too much work. I am, however, elated that there is a product out there that will make my hair more manageable for longer periods of time if I need it. In the future, I only see myself applying this ahead of the summer humidity and or a vacation where I want my hair to look its best and not be fussy. Forgot to mention as well-If you have color treated hair, consider this a warning. This treatment will strip any artificial coloring out of your hair and possibly manipulate your natural color. My hair is dark brown, but I dye it jet black. This took out any remaining jet black I had left (it had been at least 6 months since I last used dye). It also appears to have lightened my hair a few shades above what it normally is. It's almost coppery. This turned out in my favor as I like the color change, but YMMV. Dye users, just be careful...

This is a MIRACLE product for me!
I am absolutely floored with my results of this product! I have shoulder length, curly (3b) hair that is absolutely unmanageable most of the time without a ton of conditioning. My hair is fine although I have a lot of it, and I have a lot of breakage because I heat style my hair almost every day (flat iron, curling wand.) I am used to getting keratin treatments at the salon for $350 every 6 weeks! I absolutely cannot afford it anymore so after some research I decided to take a chance on this product. First I will say, like a lot of the reviews here, my box also came with a product leak. I couldn’t figure out which bottle the leak came from but there was cream all over the contents in the box. Even so, the bottles all seemed to be relatively full still so I decided to go ahead with the process anyway. 📌Yes, the process will smell bad! (Goes away after the final wash.) 📌Yes, the entire process takes a couple of hours to complete if you do it correctly. (Prepare to watch a movie or two during the process!) 📌Yes, the process will strip color from your hair (I have boxed dyed jet black hair and I would say the black dye has lifted to a dark brown in many places. However, the results are silky smooth, evenly coated, manageable and tangle free keratin treated hair! I am absolutely floored at the results. I have never been able to achieve this at home, ever. The key: Don’t rush! Step 1- I washed my hair with the provided shampoo (step 1 shampoo bottle) really well in the shower, about three times until it was super sudsy and squeaky clean. Step 2- I blow dried my hair as straight as possible and applied the keratin treatment cream with a color brush. I did this very carefully with the brush they provided and gloves. I went in very small sections and made sure everything was coated. Then once coated, wait 15 minutes. (This step took me 25-30 minutes). Step 3- I blow dried my hair as straight as possible. I used a Dyson with a brush attachment. My hair at this point felt stiff/sticky/gummy. Step 4- I flat ironed my hair (410°) as straight as possible. This is the step that smelled bad. Do this with a window open as you can clearly see the chemical process of the heated product floating into the hair as your iron glides across your hair. This is also the step that lifted some color from my hair. I did this in small sections and made sure to glide the iron over my hair enough times until I saw no more product heat off into the air. My hair felt smooth, heavy and very straight. It was also very shiny. Step 5- Then I washed my hair with the step 5 shampoo in the shower and OMG- my hair felt so silky and so dreamy as I washed the product away! Just relaxed and tangle free. I washed my hair with this shampoo around 3 times until I no longer smelled the chemical smell. Step 6- Condition with the step 6 conditioner! Again, at this point my hair felt silky and clean and the texture was a night and day difference! After the process was done, instructions said to then blow dry and go about your day! So I blowdried and then flat ironed on a lower setting and I literally cannot believe how silky smooth my hair is now. It’s transformed. I will 100% be purchasing again and will 1000% recommend to anyone looking into affordable keratin treatments. Follow the instructions!!

Great results for a cheap price!
Loved my results! I don’t know how long it will last but my hair looks so healthy, no frizz, and shiny. I agree with everyone else, STEP 4 kinda of scared me with how much smoke was being produced from flat ironing it. Try and do this step in a well ventilated area maybe near a window with a fan on. The smell is bearable and the product didn’t burn my scalp or skin. I would recommend this product. My hair type is wavy and semi thick.

Works very well
I did it myself (I have 4b/c hair), and it lasted for almost a year! The only problem was the odor. Better to get a person to help you ..

Maybe
After using the product for the first few days my hair was pin straight after the first wash my hair started to lose the frizz freeness it had and some of hair started getting that wave back in it. Its now been over a month and my hair is now not as straight and frizz free as it was after doing it. My hair is puffy and frizzy. Not sure if it could be because of my shampoo and conditioner but i am a bit willing to try the product again.

It does work. But needs patience

Vraiment efficace!

I applied on my hair 2 weeks before my summer vacation. I was for 2 weeks everyday in the pool and sea and the result is still just amazing ( I am 5 weeks in now). Since I could not find shampoo, conditioner and mask of the same company I purchased keratin shampoo, conditioner and mask from alfaparf to maintain the results ( the pink bottles). Hair is still smooth like a dream. I had damaged hair with a lot of split ends and that treatment was my last attempt before cutting my hair at least 10cm. Well I am so glad that I did not! It has sealed all the damage and i already have 2 cm of growth! The application process is time consuming though. Drying the hair with the mask on seems impossible but with patience it is possible. It removes hair colour so wait at least 2 weeks before dying the hair so that you do not mess with the keratin. Hair dries much faster ( I air dry my hair to reduce damage). I will definitely redo the treatment, I recommend!
