Hawk Transformer Hunt-Pod - Changes from Game Cart to 9' Pod Hunting Stand, Multi, One Size

All in all, pretty pleased with this stand. It is stable and comfortable, and pretty easy to move.

My idea was to have a portable tower stand with wheels that I could tow behind my 4-wheeler and take home with me at the end of each hunt. My plan was to attach the pod to my 4-wheeler with a removable tongue that I built.I was very disappointed when I received the package. The package was received with multiple holes in it. One of the ladder leg braces was also missing. The parts were also very scuffed up from rubbing against each other in the box. Took me about three hours to assemble because I had to make a new replacement leg brace. Buyer beware. The manufacturer does not stock replacement parts, but Amazon will give you a whopping discount if you want to keep the stand and solve the problem yourself. Once I got the stand assembled, I touched up all the scratched paint with some flat OD green spray paint. It looked great when I was done.Once assembled, I really like this stand. The stand is very stable, even without the leg stakes. The platform is roomy with plenty of room to stand and stretch your legs. The seat is also very comfortable. I'm sure it will be very comfortable to hunt from this stand all day if I decide to. This stand is heavy. At 100 lbs, it would be a real chore to heft into the back of a pickup truck. I don't hardly see how you could use it without great effort unless you had a utility trailer. Once on the ground, the stand balances well and can be pushed or pulled with relative ease. Be sure to get a few extra small ball bungees to hold everything together and keep it quiet.I really wanted to be able to tow this thing behind my Honda Foreman. I made a removable trailer tongue from a $20 - 2" x 6' square steel fence post and a $10 trailer tongue. This little project went together perfectly. It attaches to the ladder rungs in two places with padded u-bolts and quick release knobs. A small section of tape wrapped pipe foam around the two ladder rungs where the u-clamps are mounted, compresses enough to keep the tongue from moving around, without damaging the rungs. The stand fits nicely across the back of my 5' x 10' utility trailer. Hawk really missed the boat with this stand without a way to tow it short distances. With my $40 removable trailer tongue, it's going to be perfect for towing short distances, hunting all day, and hauling out my deer at the end of the hunt. My next project will be to make a removable frame from painted PVC tubing to attach blind fabric.

Parts were missing. Called and was told that they no longer have/make parts for the stand.

When I got the stand I was a little concerned when it came time to assemble it, but it was really not bad at all. All of the nuts and bolts are packaged together for each step of the assembly.I am 278 pounds and felt really secure getting in to it. When I broke it down for traveling I was really impressed with how easy it is to move around. the wheels work really well and it is effortless to push around. Highly recommended.ThanksMike N

My parts came bent , chipped, and holes did not line up. Also some had rust on them. I am very disappointed with this product.

5 minutes to set up, 3 minutes to break down. 45 minutes to build out if box. Come on deer season!

Bad= The connectors from ladder stand to back legs both are not completely lined up so it is tight getting them put in place. The back bracket when broke down has two hole so you can hook it to them when the stand is in roll mode. The holes are not lined up so I attached the bracket to the top hole and just strapped it down so it would not move. I would get a small rubber hammer just incase you have trouble getting the braces put on. Like everyone else, my box looked like it was pushed off the truck while going down the road but thankfully everything was there and not bent. Good= The stand if very comfortable and feels very stable when sitting in it. I like that I can move it around when wanting to try out new places and if I'm going to hunt different property. with the seating I am able to sit for a longer period of time. The stand can take about ten minutes to put up and break down which is a plus. wish= The stand comes with some ball straps so you can strap things down when moving it but these straps are a little small. It would be nice if they were pull straps coated it rubber to keep noise down. Would be nice if the stand had a shooting rail and some how be able to put a blind skirt around you to hide movement when needed. It would have also been nice if it was set up to where you could pull it behind the four wheeler. I've seen the pictures from other viewers and I'm going to see if I can replicate what they did.The stand in general is great I like it and think this stand could go far if they put more time, replacement parts and design into it.

Other than how it showed up, destroyed box, I am completely satisfied with this purchase. Fit, form and function are top notch for a product made in china. The next test will be in the field for hunting season.
