Used these to hang a large mantel on a rough, split concrete block fireplace. These puppies went right in and did exactly what I hoped they would. The L-Bars are not going anywhere, and neither is the mantel. I just used the right cement drill bit and impact driver to place the plug, and the correct sized screw. Remarkably easy. I gave the rest of the box to my friend who was helping with the installation, and ordered a set of shorter plugs for other projects around the house.

These are great for when you have something very heavy, have a concrete or brick wall but it's covered in an inch of drywall or sheetrock. Drill the appropriate length hole and these are long enough to go past the drywall and secure to the brick or concrete.

Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich einmal emotional an Dübeln hänge, aber hier stehen wir nun. Von diesen fischer DuoPower habe ich inzwischen weit über zehn Packungen in den unterschiedlichsten Größen gekauft, und das nicht aus Versehen oder wegen einer bedenklichen Dübel-Sammelleidenschaft, sondern weil die Dinger einfach funktionieren. Ehrlich gesagt sind das für mich die besten Dübel, die man als normaler Mensch, ambitionierter Heimwerker oder latent größenwahnsinniger Wandverschönerer kaufen kann. Reinbohren, reinstecken, Schraube rein, hält. So sollte das sein. Kein Rätselraten, kein „mal sehen, ob die Wand heute gute Laune hat“, kein spontanes Herausbröseln mit anschließendem Wutausbruch im Baumarkt. Was ich an den DuoPower-Dübeln mag: Sie sind angenehm unkompliziert, aber technisch nicht auf den Kopf gefallen. In Beton, Ziegel, Stein, Gipskarton und sonstigem Wandmaterial, das deutsche Häuser über Jahrzehnte so hervorgebracht haben, liefern sie einfach ab. Andere Dübel machen Versprechungen. Diese hier machen ihren Job. Besonders schön ist, dass man nicht ständig das Gefühl hat, gegen die Physik anzutreten. Der Dübel spreizt, klappt oder verknotet sich sinnvoll, je nach Untergrund. Fast so, als hätte sich tatsächlich mal jemand Gedanken gemacht. Selten genug. Natürlich sind es „nur“ Dübel. Niemand schreibt Liebeslieder über 10 x 80 mm Kunststoff. Aber wenn man schon zu oft schlechte Dübel erlebt hat, die in der Wand rotieren wie ein Rentner auf dem Tanztee, dann weiß man gute Ware zu schätzen. Fazit: Ich habe sie oft gekauft, ich werde sie wieder kaufen, und falls fischer irgendwann Bonuspunkte für emotionale Treue vergibt, stehe ich recht weit oben auf der Liste. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
