I love the quality of Banyan Botanicals. I have used many of their herbs in the past and the quality and consistency is over the top. They use the best herbs available. This powder mixture (churna) is specially formulated for acid indigestion; it contains cloves, amla, and other products. It works exceedingly well for acid indigestion. Avipattikar is an Ayurvedic formula long used in India for digestive problems, so its efficacy is tried and true. It is very easy to use by puttin g about a teaspoon in a cup of warm water, stir to mix and drink it all at once. It works almost immediately, and calms the sour stomach.s

I experience periods of acute heartburn, particularly during summers (hello, Pitta!). I mix a bit of this powder in half a cup of water and drink it first thing in the morning - no heartburn the entire day. After drinking it every day for an entire summer, I stopped for a few years - but I was still able to drink orange juice with breakfast! After a few years, I’m experiencing bad heartburn again, so I started drinking it in the mornings. The effects are immediate. No heartburn all day (and evening.) I’ve also tried drinking it after symptoms occur, and it helps some, but the most effective way is to drink it in the morning. It works better than anything I’ve tried (and if you suffer from bad heartburn you know you’ve tried it all!) It tastes a bit of cloves (minty & metallic) and you feel the powdery texture. It’s not pleasant at first. In time, I developed positive associations between this taste and the relief it brings, and now I like the taste.

The bottle is small but the product is good

It gave me releif from acidity/indigestion/constipation after 2-3 doses. I used to be bloated all the time but now no more. After every meal i used to feel burning sensation in my stomach but it has all gone. it has changed my life for good. I would say it's a wonder remedy from Ayurveda. I will order it again.

I run super hot all the time. In the winter I don’t even really need a coat but I’m the summer my life is miserable. I sweat soo much and there’s nothing that helps. But this stuff? As long as I take it every day I can actually wear sweaters in my apartment for the first time since I can remember and I’m not sweating through my clothes at work and I don’t break a sweat bending over. It’s amazing.

This product used to be great. I have bought it several times in last. But its really disappointing to see Banyan Botanicals product quality deteriorating so much. The product used to be fine powder but this time its granular. The product used to be homogeneous in consistency but now you can see various components with various consistency. The taste has gone bad too. This time it just tastes like cloves nothing else. Clove is not a great help in reducing pitta, it increases it. I have opened the pack, not sure if i will be able to return it or not but will probably wont think of buying it again.

I really enjoy this product. I'm new to the Ayurvedic practices but so far each item I've purchased from Banyan Botanicals has been wonderful! I used this product one day and I was clear of heartburn (usually 3-6 tums a day) for several days which was crazy-surprising! My only desired change would be that the packaging have what it's use is. I realize that there are many uses for herbs and mixtures but with so much going on in my brain, it would be nice to have it pre-printed. I will purchase again!
