It's almost time to put our birdbath back outside with this fountain; it's lasted beautifully for several years now. It's easy to set up, maintain and clean off to put up for the winter. We've never had a clog or lost power. As long as there's some light, this little fountain is running. the birds AND the bees love it.

Great solar fountain, easy to use. It gives quite a spray, so it is good for a wide topped fountain. With mine that are smaller, I have to fill them a lot because the water spills outs so much. I still recommend them highly. They work very well!

I’ve only had it a month and a half and it stopped working. I tried troubleshooting by cleaning it and even soaked the pump in vinegar in case hard water was the problem. I’m bummed because it was really nice for a little while! UPDATE: Literally the day after writing that review it randomly started to work. The sun has been shining all along so not sure what was up with it but it’s nice to have it back!

It work great only if have full sun. When weather is little cloud and mix with sun it still work but low water out. If full sun it will pull lot water out. See picture. I sometime use nozzles but most time I use without. See last picture is without nozzle. My old one last me 2 year. I leave there in full year round. I believe this will last 2 year. I’m happy with is product. I plan order few more.

My wife wanted this for a small bird bath she was setting up for hummingbirds. They prefer a gentle shower and this unit is perfect. It has a nice flow without being overly aggressive. It comes with several different nozzles, each giving a different spray pattern. It must be in direct sun in order to operate, but even once the sun has gone over it still continues to work for quite a while, just not as strongly. It was easy to put together. It’s a nice little unit for a surprisingly reasonable price. Because there is no place in our yard that has full sun, it only works part of the time. This is no fault of the unit in any way. There is a large maple in the yard to the east of us, another to the west, three more large maples at the southern edge of our lot and three very tall fruit trees in our yard. There is no spot in the entire yard that receives direct sunlight for more than 4-5 hours. Take this into consideration before you choose any solar unit. Watch the sun over the course of the day. If you have enough direct sun, this unit will be great. I am not subtracting any stars from this review, as our problem is not the fault of the unit, but ours for failing to take neighboring trees into consideration. When it has the direct sun it runs at full capacity, when it doesn’t it still runs, but not quite as strongly. On a recent heavily hazy and overcast day, it started later in the morning and only ran at about half the height it is capable of, but it was still pretty awesome. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to add sound and motion to a bird bath. I am including a picture of it running in direct sunlight and another with the same nozzle on the hazy, overcast day so you can see how it performs. There’s still plenty of motion, water drops and sparkling sounds to keep the birds happy. We solved our problem by purchasing another bird bath and another bubbler to place on the opposite side of the yard. One starts earlier than the other, one runs later and during the day they both run for a while.

It works, don't get me wrong, but every time I turn around there is no water in the bird bath. It works so well the water flys right out. Would be great for a pond.

Bought this for my birdbath - as others have noted, it definitely needs direct sun to work. I take it in over the winter and it has survived 3 years so far. The thing I am most impressed with is that the crows have taken to flinging it out of the bird bath (or flipping it over, or pecking out the filter sponge) - it has survived a number of drops onto the brick patio. Little birds aren't afraid of it and enjoy splashing about. I don't use the spray nozzles with it as it goes too high and empties my birdbath...

This is a nice little gadget - lots of fun, makes my bird bath more interesting, and keeps the water moving. It arrived on the promised due date, and works great. The 4 different nozzles give some variety for the height and type of spray you want. One shoots the water about 18-20 inches high! My bird bath is only about 17 inches in diameter, so the taller spray causes water to splash up and out of the bath, so eventually you’d lose quite a bit of water. This wouldn’t be a problem with a wider bird bath. I mostly use the straight tubular nozzle, which bubbles up enough to keep the water moving. It’s fun to switch to one of the others sometimes just for fun. The only reason I gave this item 4 stars instead of 5, like other reviewers, is because the little suction cups on the bottom don’t work. Maybe they would work in certain BB’s, but not in mine, which is made of a resin material (looks like concrete). Not a problem for me, because it floats, so it just moves around in the bath, which I don’t mind. If you want it to stay in one place, you’ll need to find some way to anchor it. *** IMPORTANT NOTE *** NEEDS FULL SUN to run steadily. If it’s cloudy, the pump will run intermittently, or possibly not at all. But when the sun comes out again, it works great! If your bird bath is in a totally shady area, and you can’t move it to a sunnier part of your garden (like I did), then you would probably be disappointed with this product.
