My husband wanted a popcorn machine for his birthday so I researched many of them on Amazon before purchasing this one. I wanted to get him a commercial grade popper that would last and be durable. This one had really good reviews and great customer satisfaction. This was delivered on Thursday and my husband has already made 7 batches of popcorn in 4 days. Yes, the batches are huge. Needless to say, he loves popcorn. This machine can not only keep up with his needs (so far), the popcorn tastes just as good, if not better than movie theater popcorn and is very easy to clean. It is very well made and looks great! The heating element is fantastic! It heats up quickly and the popcorn is done in minutes. My husband loves his new popcorn machine. I'm so glad I purchased this one. The machine was well packaged and nothing was broke or dented. It came in perfect condition. 5 stars all the way for this one. Highly recommend.

7/30/18 Update I just wanted to update this as I have been using this for 2 years now and still very happy and still highly recommend. I broke one of the glass doors and the company replied to my email within a day and I was able to order a replacement for about $20. Great service when needed. This broken door was my own fault and nothing against the supplier. 7/6/2016 This machine is great. Very happy with it. I did a good amount of research on these machines. Happy with my choice. I only used it once so hoping to have this for personal use in a theatre room for a long time. The package arrived in good condition. I also have to say that the machine was VERY WELL packages from the factory for shipment. Attached is some photos. You need to install the doors (simple) then install the kettle (simple). They also provide four plastic covers for the top corners. Assembly took 1 minute. I washed out the inside of the machine and started heating it up and made my first batch. Kettle heats up quickly. I like the size of the kettle as other do not have as much surface area on the bottom to heat and pop the corn. The kettle also seems to be of good heavy construction. I was surprised to also get some "free" accessories like, scope, salt shaker measuring cupS and plastic popcorn boxes (3). I fee that this 12oz popper is a good overall size and pops a good amount of popcorn in a quick time. Recommend to buy. Final note is that the doors needed to be adjusted with a screw to get to close perfectly. So I did have to manually turn a screwdriver but for the price this was acceptable to me.

If you like a lot of popcorn made perfectly every time, this is the one for you!! It is very well built, easy to clean, and yes, it makes a ton of popcorn in a hurry. We paired it with a Vevor medical cart from Amazon (pictured), and now have our own little popcorn factory!! We have tried both olive oil and vegetable oil in it with no discernible difference in taste or tenderness, and have used various different kernels and get great popcorn every time. Our favorite though is the Hoosier Hill Farm mushroom popcorn bought on Amazon. If there was a negative to this machine it would only be that the popcorn comes out so fast that some kernels are pushed out before popping. This doesn't amount to much though when you consider we are doing 1-1/2 cup batches and the unpopped kernels come in at about 1/2 tablespoon. We have also found that these kernels can be retrieved in the bottom drawer and run through again and pop just fine. I seriously doubt there is a better popcorn popper out there!!

I work a large school concessions stand. We had 2 old Gold Medal machines that both failed. They were so old that our handyman couldn't even find valid part numbers! I was tasked with finding a replacement, quickly, until we could budget for a Gold Medal (which BTW are very expensive). This was one of the few 12oz machines available for immediate delivery but I had some concern about the large price differences between machines without any obvious real why the prices varied so much. Received this item quickly, as promised, and one thing I noticed right away was that even though the kettle size was the same as our old machines- 12oz- the housing is much smaller. I knew the housing was smaller but I didn't realize how small until I saw it in person. Our old machines took the entire footprint of a utility cart and this takes up about half the footprint. Setup was quick. I was very pleased that the kettle is not hardwired because that made cleaning very difficult. This is a plug- in kettle so it can be removed easily for proper cleaning. After hanging the kettle, you can pop the front service door on, the hinged glass doors, and the corner protectors. Finally place the kernel drawer underneath. That's it, you're ready to go. I suggest wiping everything with a damp cloth and light dish soap before complete assembly since you will be serving food directly from the machine. Besides all the items needed for assembly the package also came with a salt shaker, scoop, measuring cups, popcorn bags and reusable boxes. This machine pops 1-1/2 cups of kernels, 1/2 cup popcorn oil, 1 tbsp seasoned salt which of course gives you 12 oz of popped corn. For our typical 1.25oz box we serve it truly filled appx 9 boxes as expected with very little unpopped kernel waste. You could easily pop 2 batches at a time but no more as the housing is too small to do more. In comparison our old machine could hold 4 batches. because this machine pops faster I'm not actually expecting this to be as big of a problem as anticipated. That said, the 2 reasons so far that I took a star off is the small housing. This is more personal preference than design flaw since the dimensions are shown but whereas we could put our hands and box into the housing to fill boxes now we have to bring the scoop outside the housing to fill the box. Not a huge deal but leaves a small pile of inevitable dropped kernels at your feet and the whole filling process feels a little tight. The second reason is that the service door does not stay propped up when you open the glass doors. It's held into place by the glass doors so any time you open the doors it falls open at you and then you have to prop it back up again to close the doors. Another not huge issue but worth noting as a minor annoyance. Side note: in case you think the glass doors won't stay open, push them flush with the housing and they will! Final words: if you are using this for concessions as we are I think you'll be pleased with this machine but if you're a large school like us you may want to consider a larger housing. We might still get a second one next season given the great price and speed and great popped result. But given an endless budget I'd still spring for a model with a larger housing.

Love it! Just like the movies. We use at least 3 times a week! We use it for parties too. Best thing we have bought in years!

The popcorn machine works well after watching a video on how much oil to use. The only thing is I cannot find the kettle after using it in the carnival I cannot find the kettle for the inside of the machine, but will buy again . I only wish it was cheaper.

We use this to make fresh popcorn for sale at the Little League Snack Shack. It replaces a unit of very similar design but sold under a different name. The kettle had burned out on the old unit. Although the old unit burned out after 5 years of use. It was actually used for just 3 years due to the COVID shutdown. The new unit has no design changes compared to the old other than a change in graphics. In fact, the new kettle fits onto the old unit and we now have the option of ordering a replacement kettle to give us a spare unit should we need to replace one at our other Snack Shack. We use the popcorn maker 2 or 3 times per week during the 5-month spring baseball season and for the 10 week fall baseball season (Sunday games). Some of the features we like are the glass panels used. Cleanup is easier than popcorn makers using plastic panels. Another feature is the ease is kettle removal for cleaning. The kettle hinges using 2 knobs on opposite sides of the kettle that hang from brackets at the top of the popcorn maker. Some other popcorn makers use a spindle and a spring cotter pin as the kettle hinge. The spring cotter pin is difficult to remove, clean, and reattach. One feature that could be improved is the loose fitting metal frame channels at the bottom of the side and rear glass panels. Popcorn debris needs to be cleaned out of the channels at end-of-the-day cleanings. We use wooden coffee stir sticks to dig out the popcorn debris. Overall, we are pleased with the new unit. The kettle heats up much faster than the old one and we are glad that quality materials were used.

We run a film festival and don't have a dedicated theatre for screenings, which means we bring everything with us -- screen, projector, sound equipment and concessions! We almost purchased a smaller tabletop popcorn machine because it was less expensive, but for a little more money, we definitely got a lot more in volume and quality. This is a top-notch machine that makes fresh popcorn quickly and helps set the mood for a great film screening experience. It is big though, so make sure to check the measurements. Perfect for our purposes!

Love this popcorn machine, very easy to use, love everything about it and pops very quickly. So far it is working great.

My only dislike with this popcorn machine is that it cost $200 more in Canada than it does in the United States. The machine works well it Cooks a lot of popcorn and if you have the yellow coconut oil and Flavacol you will have movie theatre style popcorn

Worked fine the few times we ended up using it. Does get really hot so have to watch the kernels do not burn but made good popcorn. We purchased it for commercial use at small craft shows but never ended up taking it as it was too heavy to move about. Ended up selling it

Makes great popcorn and it is easy to use. It was a good value, however since we purchased it we have had the repair man in twice. Once for a burned element wire to the kettle and another for the plug where the kettle plugs into inside the machine.
