This E-Collar is PERFECT for People that Love Their Fur~Babies <3
I have purchased a few other recovery collars and wasn’t really impressed with them and didn’t care for them. So when our fur~baby Gabanna, had to have surgery on her ear, which would include stitches-we all know how those ‘itch while they heal’, I had to do what I could to prevent her from scratching at her ear. This Cardinal Laboratories Remedy and Recovery E-Collar is not only safe and easy to put on Gabanna, but it is made with the pet’s comfort in mind! To me, and any other people that are owned by their fur~babies, that is the most important requirement! The closures on the Cardinal Laboratories Remedy and Recovery E-Collar are sturdy and safe which makes me confident that they will stay closed. This E-Collar is made with extra soft padded edges that prevents chaffing. The way this collar is constructed, you can rest assured that Cardinal Laboratories has our pet’s health, safety, and comfort as they foremost goals. The others I have purchased in the past have served their purpose but, in my humble opinion, they have a very large flaw. All of my previous purchased E-collars have Velcro closers, which are right there at their ears on a cone that funnels the sound right to their sensitive ears! Can you imagine how dangerously loud it is when we remove those types of collars??We all know that our dogs hearing is so much more sensitive than ours, but read this: "Dogs have much more sensitive hearing than humans, hearing sounds four times farther away than we can. They can hear higher frequency sounds, can more easily differentiate sounds (e.g. they may recognize the sound of your car) and they can pin point the exact location of the sound." Worked As Needed
Got this for our 5 month Shepherd-Akita mix pup after she got a cast put on her hind leg. If fit well and kept her from chewing off the cast. She didn’t seem to mind it at all. I think we were more uncomfortable seeing it than she was, wearing it. She was able able to eat effortlessly and sleep through the night without issue. The only downside is the locks take a little effort to secure — it’s more of a two person job but once they’re in place, it works well enough.

Better then I thought it would be
First off, I didn’t think that I was going to get the color that I did. Because I had a specific color in mind. However this One definitely is exceeds my expectations. So my dog is a big medium or small large size dog. We got him the extra large size cone, and it fits him perfectly. I thought for a minute that he was going to be a large, but I took him to the pet store and sized him up before I bought an online version of the cone. The cone at the pet store was $22, in the one on Amazon was $12 used. My only issue with it is the fact that they are stickers and you just can’t take them off.

Way too short
With 3 dogs in the house, I decided to buy the XL since it's adjustable. The neck opening was fine for all 3 dogs, and once it's snapped into the slots it does stay closed. I like the banding around the edges, and the color does help it look a little cleaner. However: this is a useless cone on my XL-sized dog, because his head and muzzle are way too long for it! So even the XL cone is probably only going to work for smaller dogs or squished-face dogs.

Well-Made and Sturdy
The XL worked well for my dog. My dog's neck measures 38cm and the minimum depth I need is 23 cm. The depth (measured from the neck edge to the outer edge) of 23½ cm was just about right. It's well-made with good quality plastic and stitched-on padded edges. The transparent plastic cone allows peripheral vision. The product details don't show the depth measurements for each size making it necessary to read through the Q&A and comments to get this rather critical specification. The stickers were a real picnic. The product instruction sticker came off easily but there were two bar-code stickers that required a spudger, rubbing alcohol and several paper towels to remove.

Does the job
I ended up having to get an XL for my 15 lb Bichon- Poo because she’s clever enough to take it off and reach around it in a size L. The only thing is that I have to take it off for her to drink water and eat, otherwise she can’t reach it.Room for improvement: a) I wish the loops were better to put the collar through b) I have to put my Bichon Poodle on smallest collar size so I wish they had put the fabric trim on the edge of the inside as well, not just on the top and bottom.

Great Product for Surgery Recovery
This was a life saver! Our dog had surgery. The cone the vet sent her home with was so hard she couldn't eat or drink water by herself. She couldn't see through the vet cone so even walking was difficult. She was absolutely pitiful. These cones are flexible and transparent, while still giving the protection necessary. She was so happy. The only thing that could be improved are the closure pins/grommets. Maybe, if the prongs on the pins were larger they would hold better? We used clear packing tape & produce bag ties to reinforce them. They did the trick.Either way, this made her recovery much happier for both her and us. I would recommend.

I like this cone. My dog doesn't.
This cone is just like the ones you'd see in PetSmart or Petco where the little buttons snap into the holes and the dog is in the cone of shame for however long it takes to heal. This one, I like it because it has holes that can be attached to a collar. Since my dog is in the cone long term, I have to take it off when she's outside and put it on when she's in, so I snapped the cone big enough to go over her head, then attached it to a collar that is not. When I put it on over her head, I can click the collar closed to keep the cone in place. My dog is a small (67 lbs) german shepherd and she can reach her tail in it, but nothing else.

Buena calidad

Great product
fits well. material covers potential sharp edges. The size options varies considerably so you can get the right fit. It stays on my dog without attaching it to his collar and he tolerates it really well. I would definitely recommend this product. the price was good too.
