| All Natural Korean Facial Sponge with Real Green Tea

After 1 month of almost daily use, I can tell you that this sponge is truly super -- it leaves skin SO SOFT and gently exfoliates, so that it is well worth the bother to rehydrate it before use. Rehydrating is actually quite easy; I find it best to run the sponge under water briefly, then do something else (like brush my teeth), run under water again & it's ready to use. At first, I tried this with just water but had a few breakouts, so I use the sponge with one of my favorite face washes (Alba's Hawaiian pineapple enzyme cleanser) and it creates such a lovely lather. My skin has been brighter and clearer while using this konjac sponge. I have sensitive skin with some rosacea, but this sponge did not irritate my skin. I don't notice anything special about the green tea in particular in this sponge, as compared to a charcoal konjac sponge that I've tried, but its' antioxidants are probably good for the skin. Also, the sponge has held up well after 1 month of use. It comes with an embedded string looped through so that it is easy to hang the sponge. In addition, it is good that this sponge is made in Korea, instead of China, unlike most of the konjac sponges available. Overall, highly recommended!! Update: after 2 1/2 months of use, the sponge began to break down just a bit, so it has been as durable as expected. I have included a photo of this little area, plus this shows the size of the rehydrated sponge. I have tried another green tea sponge (the Japanese Konjac sponge) and slightly prefer the shape of the My Konjac Sponge in my hand. This has slightly smaller "pores" (see picture) and seems to be more gentle on facial skin.

This is my second Konjac Soonge purchase. I loved my first purchase of the charcoal sponge and I love this one just as much. This is a great alternative to the dangerous plastic beads in most facial exfoliants. Those plastic beads are bad for your skin, horrible for the environment (especially our water dwelling animals) and they can actually make it through water filtration. These are all natural, plant based and biodegradable so I don't feel guilty throwing my sponge away when I'm ready for a new one. I love this sponge as an alternative to a basic wash cloth or an expensive electric scrub. With exfoliating washes I would get rashes, dry skin and/or redness, with this I feel exfoliated without a harsh feeling on my skin. They last several months before needing to be replaced and it's super quick to use with or without a face wash. I appreciate the Konjac Sponge team and I can't wait to make more purchases :)

I got this after hearing so many good things about it from a blog I follow. I only wash my face with water (oddly enough, I have better skin after doing this than I do when I use soaps of any kind) but wanted to do something a little different to add to my routine. I really love this sponge so far. I've gotten some compliments on my skin looking better overall and I feel like I have less acne - it's just smoother.

I adore this sponge! I initially picked it up at a shop in NY just to try and fell in love with it so I bought some from their Amazon store. What an amazingly clean feeling you get after washing your face with this! I did receive a coupon from them after my purchase but that has no effect on my review whatsoever, except to say they have great customer service! I have sensitive skin so I love the green tea sponge, and it is super soft when you get it wet. I have used it for a month now and my face feels so great every morning after I wash it. I will definitely be buying more.

I love my charcoal konjac sponge, so thought I'd try this version - didn't even last a month before the middle disolved, even though I cared for it in the same way as my charcoal one, which is still going strong after a couple of months.

The green tea infusion gets used up after a wash or two. You can smell it upon opening the sponge and soaking it in warm water. Ultimately the shape/ texture/ and how well it holds water are what I like about this sponge. The eye drop shape lets you hold it in your palm and get into your eyes with warm water in the morning without making a huge mess on your shirt from the dripping water. I'm on the fence over whether I'm going to buy this again. On the one hand, the shape is really good. But on the other hand... paying 10 bucks for a friggin' sponge... It's not like some miraculous thing. If you wash your face, your face will be soft. This sponge doesn't do anything magical. You can literally wash your face every morning with a washcloth and get the same results, just more annoying to clean up and dry off / what with how easy damp cloths retain moisture and pick up that mildew damp smell. So yeah. Give it a go. It's mega convenient and not abrasive at all, that's for sure.

Normally I find this product to be fantastic! Sadly, the past two I have bought have deteriorated within a week of use. Not sure if this is the norm, but I was displeased and won't be buying from this company again.
