The holster securely holds my S&W Shield 9mm spare magazine very well. I like how simple it is and the fact that right out of the box it securely holds it but does not have a death grip on it. You do want to make sure the lip securely grips your belt though. I bought the "left" version and I wear it at about 9 or 10 o'clock and draw with my left hand while holding the weapon in my right. I love this thing.

Works great, as intended. The belt clip keeps the magazine holder in place, and the magazine retention was just right out of the box. The finish is good, so if you wear this inside the waist band you're not going to cut your belly (or in my case, love handles) open.The only advice I offer is to read the description VERY, VERY carefully. These are in no way reversible. The magazine only fits inside the pouch one way, and the belt clip is only on one side of the pouch, so if you order the wrong one, either the rounds in the magazine will not face the direction you want them to, or the pouch will not be on the correct side of your pants.
