QoR Artist Watercolors, Cobalt Teal, 11 ml Tube

I am obsessed with watercolor and since I rediscovered it this year (I was never that good but I had a lot of supplies from years ago) I can't stop thinking about it all day and night.....that being said..im terrible at it...so take my review with these knowledge. QOR is everything that makes Watercolor amazing. It's bright and beautiful with such vivid colors that can be as transparent as you want as far as I can tell but the way it just dances on the paper! I mean....but I get why it's not for beginners for the most part. I love it though. I kind of think it's the most amazing value in watercolor because it really can get out of hand if you're not really careful so I find that if I really go with a light light hue and not too wet, I've got more control. That is something I've just learned and to me...that's a huge lesson in watercolor so for that reason I love it even more. If you ever wanted to lure someone into loving Watercolor with you, I suggest taking a tube of something like this Cobalt Teal and do a little wet on wet on a petal and watch them. You'll know instantly if they are worth your paint. 😉.

This is a very rich pigment non granulating professional quality watercolor. It’s a large tube which will last a long time. This particular color is excellent for nature themed work and as a mixing color to create bright greens and violets

I believe Qor watercolors are the best!!

I bought cobalt teal blue for make polar ice, and it give a beautiful color, very smooth and good mixes with green or dark blue.

Better price than other online art suppliers. Qor is some of the best watercolors on the market.

If you compare to Daniel Smith, Winsor Newton, this is far better. well, the WN is pretty good too but Daniel Smith version is terrible, very granulating, no tinting strength and streaky in washes - Dropping in a little bit livens up paintings so much, and I love it for turquoise waters. The tin makes a great palette. They behave a little different than the honey based watercolors, but I just love the flow and dispersion and pigment strength is unmatched. Definitely an improvement over the old era watercolors.

This is an absolutely STUNNING color!! Been searching high and low for a vibrant teal color that is non-toxic — I was about to give up before I found this. So surprised to see that this doesn’t have the toxicity warning listed on all the other cobalt teals on dickblick & hopefully that’s accurate 🤞🏽 This brilliant teal is the perfect jewel turquoise and exotic ocean blue 😍. It also creates super dreamy tropical teal green shades 🏝, pastel mint & unique sky blue when mixed with other colors, as shown in my swatch picture 🥰🌟 Lovely movement and beautiful flowing granulation. Looks crazy thick & opaque when you first open the tube but it’s actually perfectly transparent and can be watered down while still maintaining vibrant color. This is my second Qor color and will be trying more!! 👏🏽
