Finally, no more fainting people in the bathrooms! No neutral wire needed either!! Awesome!
I was looking for a switch timer since I always leave the bathroom fan on (2+ hours) after a hearty meal mainly because I forget to turn it off. Now I know I don't need two hours to get my bathroom smelling like a bed of roses again. Plus, I needed one that didn't require a neutral switch. The LTT30-1LW works perfectly with my fan and no issues whatsoever. I actually discovered I had a neutral switch buried deep behind all the dusty wires (white wires were actually black because of the soot). Anyways, it works just fine without the neutral and the buttons feel solid. No hum or buzz but then again I am not using a high wattage heater and only just a fan plus light combo). I remember reading a review here that said to slide the small switch at the bottom to the right so that it is on or else the timer will remain off and you'll think you did something wrong. Other than that installation was very straight forward.Functions are very intuitive and if you hit the 30 min timer, a bright LED will go on and internally start counting down. The 15 minute button will light up when the timer reaches that time and so on until the unit switches it off. Everyone that comes over keeps asking what the heck is that switch in the bathroom! Pretty cool looking I think. The good thing is know I'll save a good amount on my electrical bill overtime and heating since the fan won't be pulling as much warm air out of my house. I wish my other friends and families had this in their bathrooms because I know I am guilty of not turning off the bathroom fan myself. Better to waste their electricity then to have them faint on the bathroom floor is my philosophy! Love it! Gonna get two more for the other bathrooms even though one has a window (for those winter months when I can't leave the window open).

Good - if you Understand how it works
iMPORTANT! So I tried to install myself. The application was to replace the light switch that turned on/off about 4 lights. I had cfl/bulbs and also tried a couple LED bulbs too. It would hum and flicker (like in a horror movie). I thought maybe I did something wrong and didn't want to burn my house down so I had an electrician come out. Took him a bit to figure out that it needed a 40W or higher bulb "load?" on the first the light it fed, then the rest could be CFLs or LED's. Even if all the bulbs added up to over 40W, it wouldn't work right. That first bulb had to have the full 40+ watts (for resistance?). If we put a cfl in the first light and a 40w in the second- It didn't work right. Hope this saves someone the headache and expense I ended up having. Once that was figured out, it has been working great and serves its purpose. (but made me use more wattage than I planned). I would have given it 4 stars had that been made clear.

Not Compatible with LED Lights
I had a new bathroom fan installed and bought this timer to control it. It worked great controlling the fan, but not the light in the fan. Discovered this switch is only compatible with incandescent and halogen bulbs - the fan has LED lights, so beware when using this timer switch with new fixtures. I had to return it

Works well, fan runs a bit slower
Easy to install and operate, and works fine on my older bathroom fan (the square "floodlight in the middle" type of unknown brand). The fan does run a bit slower. I'd estimate about 80% of previous speed. This is fine with me, because it is now quieter, and it still does the job. This timer does not require a neutral wire. If the fan speed is an issue for you, as it has been with other reviewers, I suspect that using the type of timer that does require a neutral wire will solve the problem. Maybe a qualified electrician can leave a comment on this.

Energy saver
I bought this timer to control the vent fans in my bathroom. I know that the vent should run for at least 15 minutes after showering but hate leaving the vent running because I would have to come back and turn it off. This switch offers an elegant solution, just hit the time button that you want it to run and leave the area. There are four preset time buttons and an off button. There is a led light on the timed buttons, if you select the highest time, as the timer reaches the next increment it will illuminate the correct time button, so you have a general idea as to how much time you have left. When you connect these switches just know that there is an on/off switch on the bottom.

It's my fault for not liking it, and it's your fault if you don't too.
I was going to return it for a refund, but it's not worth the effort. I installed this in a walk-in closet that had two CFL bulbs in the fixture. I could see them flicker like some current was making it up to the fixture, but it was barely noticeable. I would have made a smarter buying decision if the seller wrote up suggested uses for this application, likewise I could have read the reviews. Seems like fans don't run at full power with these, I guess to expect that a light would was a bad assumption on my part. I thought I might get away with it since CFL's use less power. I guess incandescent bulbs would work, but be dimmer than their potential. That might not be a bad thing, as those bulbs tend to go out a lot, so this kind of setup might make those bulbs last longer.

I would give it 5 but it has a small ...
I would give it 5 but it has a small slider switch which is in the off position by default. Not clearly labeled and off by default makes the installation appear faulty if you don't realize this is the default setting.

Works with Bathroom Extractor Fans Too
I know it's not for bathroom fans, but I had a two wire switch (no neutral in box) for one toilet fan. I used this in that location and it works great. There is a small sliding on/off at the bottom which isn't easy to see, and had me wondering if I had wired it up wrong for a few minutes as it didn't work... doh me.

A minimum load is required to work
It works. But be aware that there is a minimum load below which the timer will not work. This information is only specified in the warnings in the installation manual: "Total minimum load must exceed 40W". I installed it on a bathroom fan producing a load of 45W (mesured with a meter). The fan lost about 1/3 of its power when connected to the timer even if it exceeded the required load of 40W. I would not recommend this timer with a load lower than 60W. If you have a load less than 60W, look for the LTB30-1LW which has no load limits.

Timer switch does not have a neutral
Instructions indicated a neutral was not necessary for this 120 vac timer switch but it would not function without it. I have since purchased a similar timer switch with a neutral and it works fine.
