Suggestion for people traveling to Kenya or Tanzania
An excellent pictorial of the wildlife in Kenya and Tanzania. I was introduced to this book from our guide while on a 21 day safari. He referred to it showing us the animals that we were seeing. I went to purchase it while on safari, and the price was between $40 - $50 U.S. dollars. Bought it on Amazon when we returned for 1/3 that price. Highly advised if you are going to Kenya or Tanzania.

The Kindle version works fine for the price
Bought the Kindle version. Unable to find the book anymore. Our group used this paperback book in the Serengeti July 2016. The book sold for $40 at the National Park entrances. The Kindle version works fine for the price. This is a top quality book. Needed a good reference to go with the zillion pictures we took.

The names of animals and plants
It didn't have all the birds I was looking for nor the trees. Looking online is difficult because they have thephoto but won't reveal the name..

Wish I had purchased this book before my trip
I took about 4,000 pictures during my trip to East Africa and knew I would not remember all of the names of the mammals and birds I saw during the trip. This book definitely helped me to identify the birds/animals and label my photos. My only regret is that I did not purchase it before the trip.

Great for identifying wildlife from the photos you took on safari.
This book is very helpful in identifying the animals and the birds that are most commonly seen on wildlife safaris in East Africa.

Good beginning guide for Safari
Good beginner book, and one I would recommend for anyone going to East Africa on Safari for the first time. Could use more, and lager photographs, and range maps would be nice...but definitely worth the cost.
