The best pool cover Iโve used!
This is the best pool cover I have used it lets the water drain back into the pool so thereโs no water pooling on top which stops frogs from breeding and making all the noises around the house on the average the pool cover last about 2 to three years. Pro tip to keep these covers lasting long is to get those inflatable pool pillows are probably a whole bunch of them for a 24 inch above round pool. I got like 12 of them and I filled them up and I put the cover on top of it itโs like a doomr structure and then around the edges of the pool. I tightened the cover and then I put clips all around the pool cover all those of those green camping clips that you get from Amazon, theyโre not really cheap. Theyโre like $21 for like a dozen of them or so, but they have really helped me keep water from pooling which was causing a lot of issues with the frogs as they were you know breeding and making all those noises. As I mentioned earlier, my installation process is simple. I fill up the inflatable pillows. I put the pool cover on top of it and then use the cable rent system that they provide to tighten everything and then use those clips that you get from Amazon for camping tents to keep the keep everything nice and taught. Essentially I have a dome over the pool that doesnโt let water collect on top at all it. This system lasts me for about 2 to 3 years when the inflatable pillows start deflating and at that point I have to take the cover off and reinflate the pillows and put everything back. I hope this company continues to create this pool cover as has been a lifesaver for me to be able to get some sleep at night.

It works
Pros: 1) Easy to install, even with 1 person if absolutely necessary. 2) It does keep leaves and tiny debris from going through. Cons: 3) It holds water; doesn't drain through unless it is NOT touching the water, which is impossible unless you blow up so many pillows to put underneath that it covers the entire surface first. You have to siphon the water off the top before you can remove it. It takes at least 2 people to remove it, because of this, and it takes a very long time. Water does not seep through easily. It is extremely heavy even after siphoning what can be siphoned. 2) Algae grows on it therefore cleaning it is virtually impossible. It turns white and crusty. After hours of scrubbing it, it still isn't clean. (see attached pictures) 3) Cover is brittle, and we have used it only 1 season. It also already has holes in it. (see attached pictures) 4) The seam at the outer part is already starting to come apart. You touch one of the hanging pieces and the weave starts to unravel (see attached pictures) 5) It blows off easily even after tightening the cord as tight as it will go, and believe me, my husband is a strong man, so we had to use clamps to hold it down. I read another review and it is true that the warranty is ridiculous. Packaging it and sending it back for a partial refund is not a problem, but paying the shipping for it, that's poor customer service, since it states there is an 8-year warranty. Basically, you use it for 1 season, loses half its value, so risk using it a second season, and it is worthless. For the price of it, it'd be worth it just paying for a cheaper one, using clamps to hold it down, and then buying another cheap one year after year. It's more economical.

Finally a cover thatโs big enough
Have had our 24โ above ground pool now for 28 seasons. It has a large top rail. Have ordered these covers many times (they normally say 27โ round) and not uncommon to get them and they donโt fit or are not cut in a good circle or with fraying seams. This coverโs seems appeared good and plenty of overhang to cover. We get 1 to 2 years normally out of these covers with wind whipping them, so we will see how it holds up. I do wish theyโd put double the amount of grommets for the binder though. Even if it cost a little more due to that (or make that an option to buy with double the grommets), it would really help with keeping the cover from flapping in the wind. If they had the double grommets ever 12โ, would make a HUGE improvement!

It's been raining all day and what do you know ...
It's been raining all day and what do you know. NO PUDDLED water. We did raise it(as we do with all of our covers) but as you can see I live near woods so there is always stank leaves on my pool. So far. The water drains and the leaves blow off Update::: 10-7-17 so far no standing water. All of the leaves in that usually cause a stinky mess just blow off 10-22 So this product has held up amazing... all the leaves just blow right off On May 6th we opened up the pool there is no pot of water on the cover. There is no degrees in the water other than what was left when we covered it the pool was slightly green but after 4 gallons of shock in 12 hours the pool crystal clear I will say this covers pricing fluctuates a lot I got mine for around $30 and as well worth it

Cheaply made!
Iโll start by saying that Iโve had a pool for 23 years. Iโve owned a total of 4 covers, I know how to properly close out the pool. This is the WORST cover you could possibly imagine. I noticed it was a little frayed at the seam when I was installing it but I used it anyway. Huge mistake! It ripped apart in 3 places over the winter. Iโll remind you, Iโve done this for years, I know how to install a cover. Having lots of sun exposure to the water and debri, when I took the cover off, I had black algae. I fought it for 2 weeks, spent an excessive amount of money and time trying to fix this. I finally gave up yesterday and did a 75% drain. This is the worst start to the pool season that I have ever experienced.

Still going strong after 2 years and looking forward to year 3
Worked perfectly for out 15ft round for the last 2 years. Make sure to secure the cover to the ground or the frame and this is great.

Pool water very green after using this cover
UPDATE SPRING 2026: The cover allowed an awful lot of algae to grow in the pool. I suspect that it's just too lightweight a material to effectively block the light. UPDATE WINTER 2026: We've had lots of rain now, and the cover seems to be performing well, with most of the water moving down through the mesh. On the windward side, the cover is remaining suspended above the water (I have 18 half-filled half-gallon milk jugs weighing down the edges), while on the leeward side, the cover is sitting on the surface, with less than an inch of water in puddles on top. I've been having to clean fallen sticks and leaves out of these puddles with a net. (At one point I did make sure the water would go through by poking a hole in each puddle with a straightened wire hanger. Not sure if that was really necessary.) Also, the "DIY pool-tree" ropes keep the puddles small (with more milk jugs keeping the ropes tight). No Canada geese so far this season... UPDATE FALL 2025: I bought a second one last fall (but didn't use it until this fall). It seems a much lighter-weight cover than the old one. It says it's made of polyethylene. Polyethylene floats, right? The first one sank. I think this product's material has been changed. It's hard to get past the marketing for a real understanding of how it will perform. Does it really sit on the water surface? I prefer that it stay above the water (pool-tree type system) so it would stay clean (free of Canada goose poop--since they love to stand on top). So far we've not had much rain, but the water doesn't seem to go through, nor the cover float on top. I will update about water permeability. What I want is for the water to go down through the cover. For that to happen the cover has to FLOAT and be WATER-PERMEABLE. If it doesn't float, then it will have to be suspended above the water surface, which is not recommended by the manufacturer. About the warranty: purchaser has to pay shipping for new cover AND to return old cover. Warranty is void if you used milk jugs or anything else besides the provided cable. Warranty is void if installed other than as instructed or if edges of pool not "padded" to protect cover from wear. The new cover is made in China. Not sure whether or not it was 8 years ago. I suspect it's really not the same cover as before. ORIGINAL REVIEW: If I'm not mistaken, this cover served us seven years, with a little help from some Gorilla Tape. The first time I used a mesh cover, it just sank into the water. Since then, I've always put a solar cover under it to support it. I cut some holes in the solar cover and attached it to the skimmer with tarp clamps and twine so that it wouldn't shift around with the wind. Next time I might try the ratchet straps or pool-tree idea. I think I'll also try cover clips. I've been using 1/2 gallon milk jugs, but they're very hard on the cover, keeping it stretched tight when the water level drops. The mesh cover does let silt through so the water is very acidic in the spring. With a solar cover under it it still gets a fair amount of debris on top, but very little water! So I can "rake" the debris off pretty easily and generally just let it go until pool opening time. I never need to syphon water off anymore.

It alway floats!!!
So I HAD to come back and comment on my favorite feature that I didn't even expect.... It's plenty big with good overhang. The cable and ratchet work great. It's too early to tell how it will hold up to the elements long term. ....But what i love about this thing..... ALL THE RAIN WATER FILTERS RIGHT THROUGH TO THE UNDERSIDE WHILE THE COVER STAYS ON TOP!!!!! When I first pressed the cover down into the water and a puddle of water came through, I thought "I just got took". But then after a 4"+ rain event, when the cover is still on the top, I realized I will never pump water off the top again, HURRAY!!!! It's genious and simple. The material is lighter than water. Who'd a thunk it??... And the dirt and trash naturally get filtered out on top. If this thing only lasts one season, I'll buy another one just like it next year!!!!

Took a beating this winter, and did its job!
I purchased this in the fall and wanted to wait till spring to give a review. I'm very happy with this pool cover! We had a crazy winter with lots of wind and a ton of snow and thus stayed put. It only came off a bit on one side due to the weight of the ice and snow. I just went out when everything started to melt and put the small area that came off back on. We even had a 100km an hour wind storm not long ago and it stayed put. We just removed it today and the pool is nice and clean!

Pool season game changer. Cover is great!
This really was a game changer with pool season. It was really easy to take off and put on. I did it myself every time I wanted to use our 16 foot pool. I can take it off and put it on myself, so one person can definitely use it. And the cable/wire used to tighten to cover is VERY durable, I take that cover on and off every day for a roughly 3 months straight and I've been doing that for three summers now.

DO NOT BUY!!
If I could give zero stars I would! Terrible quality actually came with gaffe tape covering the holes. It was clearly second hand. Absolutely disgusted. Arm on tensioner was even broken and rusty.
