Color:Black XEPA PSO1 solar powered security light is the most cost-effective way to illuminate and protect your home, business, and recreational areas. with its easy setup, requiring no wiring or electricity this light conforms to most of your lighting needs. Simply install or set the solar charging panel where sun exposure is prevalent. Then connect it to the light fixture using the 15-Feet cable. Two highly efficient, cast aluminum lamp heads enable you to get dual direction illumination while ensuring maximum brightness. The two 5-Watt super bright LEDs provide up to 600 Lumens of light. That's the equivalent of a 60-Watt incandescent light bulb. In Auto operation mode, the light illuminates anytime motion is detected within a 160-Degree arc and 50-Feet of the base. The unit resets after one minute of illumination. for longevity of your solar panel periodically clean away debris and wipe down with a damp cloth.

2 Defective Units in a Row from Smarthome
Wow. Solar Motion LEDs have come a long ways. This unit certainly *lights* up the yard (enough to come close to 120v a/c electric lights). It's sturdy in build and easy to mount with two screws for the light assembly and four screws for the solar panel. I didn't get a chance to measure the cable since I placed the two just inches apart.I also liked that the light has two high performance LEDs instead of a cluster of older generation LEDs.This didn't get 5 stars because there wasn't a way to change the length of time the light stayed on. There was just a switch that was Off, On, or Test.If this light lasts a couple of weeks, I may consider getting a few more.2013/10/13Fast forward one year and I decided to get another one. This time, the unit is defective. At night, the light does not shut off and ends up draining the battery very quickly. I've requested for a return from Smarthome.2013/11/05After receiving my return, Smarthome sent me a replacement. Did Smarthome send me the same defective unit? The replacement was also defective. At this rate, it will be Spring time before I end up with a good working unit from Smarthome.Defect: To isolate the issue, I placed the unit in a dark room with no active heat signatures in front of the sensor. And even then, the light would turn on and stay on until the battery is completely worn down. Every minute or so the light would flash off for a brief 200ms (approx).

Smarter and works only in the dark .
Other comparable lights usually come with three dials that is adjustable for sensitivity, darkness, length of light intervals . They are not reliable or easy to tamper with . This one comes without any dials and is automatic from day one. All you need to do is mount it and it charges up until it is ready to go. It is a smart device that gives no hassle ! It only turns on for a minute and add another minute if necessary when motion is still detected . I mounted it rather high at about 12 foot level and the motion sensor needs to be redesigned to be more broadly senstive vertically (up and down) I still think that the motion sensor is technologically dated because it has been the same for decades.. Cant someone come up with a better and smarter motion sensor ?? It has its lmits which irritrates me somewhat. I test it by walking around at all angles and find blind spots even with my arms waving. Maybe extra motioin sensors can be added to narrow down the angle and increase senstivity in parallel or something. I could appreciate 360 degree motion sensors sometimes. as well as upwardly and downwardly. Engineers have to be more creative instead of droning on..about two years later, the plastic lens covering the motion sensor cracked up or is sabotaged without any replacement that I know of around .. It seems easy to replace but that very common part is not even made widely available as a replacement part even at hardware stores.. What gives? What do they expect them to ..last forever? Nah!

100% failure rate on six lights. Do not buy. Bogus / scam-artist vendor?
I rarely give negative reviews. This light seemed like the perfect solution, and upon installation, I was impressed. The light was bright (unlike most solar lights), the motion detector worked well, it was easy to install, and the solar panel had a nice long cable allowing me to place it far away in direct sunlight. After testing one for a month, I bought 5 more to use as security lights around my house. One by one, they have all failed over the last 6 months or so.That's right. All 6 of these have stopped working in the exact same manner. Furthermore, the manufacturer is unavailable via email or phone to process a warranty replacement or repair. Amazon has just stepped up and offered me a complete refund, so kudos to amazon.com for taking care of a problem caused by an unscrupulous manufacturer.WHAT WENT WRONG:Over the last few months, I've carefully swapped out components as an experiment to see where the problem lies. The solar panel still works, as does the motion detector. I'm fairly certain the lamp still works, and that the problem is the internal battery which gets recharged by the solar cells. The battery just won't continue to hold a charge. The light still comes on with motion, but it's so dim you can't even see it unless you get up close.MANUFACTURER:These lights are manufactured by Xepa Tech. At first Amazon referred me to their website contact info. Unfortunately, the provided "customer service" email info bounces back as undeliverable. The online "contact us" form, doesn't work, providing the error (on submittal) that there is an incomplete field (there's not). Lastly, morning, noon and night, their phone number just goes to a voice loop and no one picks up. I just sat on hold for 55 minutes with no one answering. During that time, I googled their company address, which resulted in finding that there are several companies in this industrial complex listing that address and suite number as their corporate address. Obviously, these guys are fishy at best, and possibly scam artists.Xepa Tech(800) [email protected] Eucalyptus Ave. #110Chino, CA 91710

The solar light has met all our expectations and is proving to be an excellent purchase.
We have had the light set up for approximately one week. The security light illuminates an area between our house and garage that was quite dark and we didn't have a power source available to us so a conventional hard wired security light was not an option. The solar light has met all our expectations and is proving to be an excellent purchase.

Base to attach solar panel is a big flaw. Should have the same flexibility that the lamps have. Known that I wolud not have bought that model. Would have probably gone to another brand.

Five Stars
Fantastic Product. Great Quality for the money. Worked excellently, just after a half day of sunlight charging :)
