has anyone been able to pull that cord through so it isn’t exposed at the shade base?

There is a 3/4 inch piece that shows. I had the same concern but in looking at the picture closely it appears to be designed that way. It would look better if the plastic didn’t show but I decided to live with it.

How do you adjust the warmth of the light?

This is an on/off lamp. You cannot adjust the lamp settings, but you can purchase a different light bulb for more warm light.

Can it connect with google home or Alexa?

Only if you have a smart light bulb or a smart outlet. I have a smart bulb and it works great.

Can the led bulb be changed for an incandescent bulb? my eyes can't handle led light.

You can use an incandescent bulb, thank you!
