Restored My Wheels to Showroom Condition
I was skeptical at first, but this E-TECH alloy wheel repair putty exceeded my expectations. After a minor curb incident, my alloy wheels had unsightly scuffs. Following the instructions, I applied the putty, let it harden, and sanded it down. The result? A smooth finish that matched the rest of the wheel perfectly. Pros: โข Easy to apply with clear instructions โข Dries hard and durable โข Sands down to a smooth finish Cons: โข Requires patience for the best results Highly recommend for DIY enthusiasts looking to save on repair costs.

Good prep and patience..
This product works well and sets quickly. I take time to mask โonlyโ the area of damage, as donโt want to scratch even more of the alloy. Work a small amount into a ball and one colour, apply the putty, smooth out and leave for 24hrs. Spend time sanding back getting the shape right and a flush level with the alloy. The finish is good and ready for painting. My top tip - Donโt mask the area, fill and remove the tape before Sanding, otherwise the tape will pull all the putty off! My pics are: Before (kerb rash! Turned away from stationary position!) Filled Sanded back. Hope this helps..

Easy to use
A few minutes rolling in your hand to get a universal colour and then filled in on the alloy. It is fast drying but I left it over night before sanding. Sands well but takes time to get a good finish as with anything. Started with 200 grit and worked up to 800 grit before applying the alloy paint. Before I painted, the kerb rash was no longer visible with just the putty. Very pleased with the results overall

Preparation is key
Like any filler/bonder it's imperative that you clean and prepare the surfaces incredibly well before any attempt to get a good bond. I have used this to repair curb rash on alloy wheels and it works very well. If you're powder coating after any repairs then you must use a metal filler as standard body filler won't take the powder well, or cope with the heat required. Used a small file to file down over fill then sanded with 120grit. Continue sanding the surrounding area for a uniformed appearance, I then went to 240 and up to 800. It actually takes a media blast well too (fine) so if you're looking for an overall small metal repair putty that's got good adhesion, sets very hard, ideal for powder coating over then this is worth the money. Just remember to clean and prepare the surface extremely well so you don't have any issues with break off or poor repairs. ๐

Alloy wheel repair
Used this for a small bit of kerb on my wheel , easy to apply and not messy, but the repair I did was too small to really test the product properly. A good price tnou.

Good product
The product is good. And, it all depends on how well you knead it before the application.
