The best in warmth and durability
I my opinion nothing compares to jackets made by Carhartt. In my opinion, nothing is warmer for everyday use. Made of premium and tough materials, and are very durable. I upgraded because I need a larger jacket. I also like that the jacket goes below the lower back which prevents chills , spasm, and cramps. There is an extremely heavy duty zipper, I just use it as casual wear. This is my third Carhartt, the first over 30 years old, the second around 9 years old, and hopefully this one will last the rest of my life. This was on sale, , and had a fast delivery. I learned about Carhartt from friends in the trades, as well as people in outdoor cold weather sports. This is just a great jacket for anyone. It’s not a flash jacket, but rather a warm and great fitting, and well constructed jacket. Highly recommended

Great coat
Warm , loose fitting so arms are free to do chores . My husband loves this coat . He is outdoors most of the time . Is warm when doing farm chores . Cuts through the wind , has plenty of pockets for gloves and tools . Washes up well . He highly recommends this coat for anyone who need a real work jacket.

Good jacket.
I wanted to write a review for this jacket because I wasn't sure what size to order when looking at the size chart. I weigh 310 pounds and am 6 foot 1 inch tall. I ended up ordering the 3XL tall size since that's what I wear in t-shirts and other clothes. This jacket is really big in the shoulders, but fits properly across my stomach and will zip up easily with no problem. Carhartt wear is really good quality. I was sort of disappointed that the jacket didn't come in their brown color -- it's sort of like a soil color or dirt color that's a medium-dark brown. That's the color I used to wear in their jackets. I've been using Carhartt for outdoor and work clothes since I discovered their brand at their downtown store in Seattle. I really like their work pants and jackets and this won't disappoint you. A lot of big and tall clothes you might be able to find locally are usually flimsy when it comes to outdoor wear and won't last or isn't warm enough with just cheap fabric and filling. This jacket is great quality and you should consider one if your looking for a plus size winter coat. The jacket has a small pocket on the left interior that zips open and shut and a pocket on the right side that's about cell phone sized. The zipper is good quality and the jacket has a interior cord that can shrink the waist area to keep wind out or cold air. This has stoppers on both ends which are the pinch to release ones. Exterior pockets on the front chest are velcro and are the same size to hold a small notepad or phone or tools. Collar is nice. I ordered the dark navy color and it looks almost black like the color of a p-coat. Am really looking forward to trying this coat out in the mountains. This is the heaviest lining I think that Carhartt offers other than their specialty wear for the north and south pole. I suggest if you're a plus size you consider this coat I'm really happy with it. I've owned lots of Carhartt gear over the years and will stay with them for clothing as long as they keep making it for us. Thanks for reading.

Quality made coat.
This traditional coat is very well made. The stiff duck material will last you the rest of your life but you will spend 1/2 of the rest of your life trying to break this coat in. The fit runs loose fit which means between 1/2 and 3/4 of a size large. The inside is taffeta and rated one of the warmest in the Carhartt line of jackets and coats. Sales come every once in a while so if you are patient you can get a deal. Very very good coat.

Overall, a very good coat
Here are my initial thoughts: 1. Long sleeves. I like this - I ride a motorcycle so the extra length works when my arms are extended. 2. Warm. This jacket is very warm. No problem there. 3. Needs to be broken in. The durable construction makes for a stiff jacket. 4. I read reviews with complaints regarding the double zipper. I did not have a problem zipping it up. The second zipper is good for sitting down in the longer coat. My previous coat was the same length and did not have the double zipper. If I did not remember to hike the coat up, the zipper would split sometimes when I sat down. 5. The breast pockets are hook and loop. I prefer a zipper. 6. The breast pockets both inside and outside are a little small for my average sized phone. 7. The side pockets are open - no enclosure. I would like a zipper there. I keep my keys in the side pocket and for some activities (like sledding with my son, some outside work) it would be better to have a way to secure them. The side pockets are pretty deep though so that should mitigate that issue. 8. Regarding fit: I am 5'9" 200#. The large feels bulky but it does need to be broken in. I generally wear a t-shirt with a quarter zip. That being said, it fits well. There is enough room where I could comfortable add another layer if needed but I am not swimming in it. Overall a very good coat. It is very durable - I almost wonder if it will outlive me.

and I think it's going to hold up nicely for a very long time
So here's the deal, I purchased this coat and the Carhartt Men's Extremes Arctic-Quilt Lined Coat, both in MEDIUM. I simply couldn't make up my mind and none of the stores in my area had either coat to make the comparison. I wanted to try them on and compare them side by side, so that's what I did. I'm going to start off by saying that they are the same style coat, both very rugged, both fit the same in the medium size. This coat, however, contains the same exterior rugged material as the traditional Carhartt coats (see Carhartt Men's Thermal Lined Duck Active Jacket J131) that I normally see people wearing on the job. I simply preferred this material, but in this style. After a few days, I sat down with the coat and realized that it was too constrictive in the chest/stomach section. I returned the MEDIUM duck-lined coat and purchased the LARGE. This is a perfect fit for me. This coat is heavy, thick, feels extremely warm, and I think it's going to hold up nicely for a very long time. It is a little stiff, but I know that over time with wearing and washing it, it will soften up a bit. I'm 5'-11, 180 lbs. The LARGE is just perfect for me. I also plan on ordering the arctic lined hood eventually. The zipper appears bullet proof and I love the flap that covers the zipper, with velcro. The cuffs built into the sleeves are awesome, and it should keep the cold out for sure. The reason I chose not to keep the Men's Extremes Arctic-Quilt Lined Coat over this one, is I just didn't like the new material. It's super stiff, loud during movement, and I just wanted the traditional exterior Carhartt material that's been around forever. I have no doubts that both coats will keep you warm while you work outside.

Perfect
I have had this jacket for about six months and I love it! It has and inside pocket which I love and is very warm. I got a large and I’m 6.4’ 100kg and it fit perfectly. The only thing I would change is to remove the Velcro as it gets dirty and stops working after a couple of months

Big Sizes
I am 198 cm tall weigh 125kg so I am a big man. Therefore I bought first a Tall in size XXL thinking that should be adequate. When I got it was humongous so I sent it back and got an L instead and it fits perfectly. So buy at least one size smaller than you usually do.

Tallas muy grandes
Excelente articulo.

Bin 1.80 90kg Mittlere Statur.
