This is an excellent animated film, on DVD. Every Christian should watch this…it depicts the journey of people seeking God, and the journey, in pictorial form.

Firstly, I'm a Bible believing Christian, that has explored Christianity and grown in faith since mid 2018, and was baptised through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.The Pilgrims progress (2019) is based on the theological story by John Bunyan. It is regarded as one of the most significant works that has been inspired and based around the Holy BibeWhen Christian Polgrim is at his lowest point in life, he finds out that's there's more to this life through a book he finds, and decides to pursue his salvation.On this emotional journey, he crosses paths with some of the strange characters he meets on his journey: a menacing stone mountain that stands for the Rule of Law; a pair of bickering giants intent on convincing Christian and traveling companion Hopeful to kill themselves; he encounters demons (Legion) that try and stop him at any cost, the dragon-like Apollyon, (Satan) which morphs between a winged creature and the honcho of Christian's hometown. Most of the movie's straight-on action/battle scenes involve the Apollyon, including one conflict that takes up a full five minutes, wearing the Armour of God.Christian must keep on the straight and narrow path.A treasure and enjoyable for all the family.

I read The Pilgrim’s Progress as a child and found it really heavy going. Recently I bought it on Audiobooks and that was a lot easier to get into. This however is perfect as while staying true to the book it tells the story in a really creative and entertaining way.It’s suitable for both adults and children alike and whether you’re religious or not the telling of this story via a film will still captivate. A well made, easy on the ears and eyes film. I thoroughly enjoyed it so much so that after watching it I went back and bought it.Overall a great film. One minor criticism I think I would have preferred the introduction to either have been shorter or put at the end of the movie. Many will probably disagree with me but I found myself fast forwarding to the beginning of the movie.

Really enjoyed the film. Recieved the product swiftly and well before delivery date.

This movie truly brought to light many biblical messages that became easier to grasp after the movie. Indicated to families (adults and kids). If you have watched the previous one, you would still take many good messages from this also.

Someone has obviously tried hard to bring Bunyan's story up to date, but, in doing so, they've lost something of the original. For a start, a whole bunch of demons - who don't feature at all in the original - now have a leading role. I can see it adds to the drama - but it ends up making the Devil and his minions much too big in the story. The acting isn't brilliant, either - too often it's a bit wooden and stilted, as if the characters were reading their lines from a book. This is supposed to be a story of deliverance and hope - it could do with a bit more real emotion. But OK for older children, maybe - the demons make it a bit too scary for little ones.

This is a very well made film, the content and theme is suitable for all the family. The kids especially loved the great animation and sound effects. Excellent film, highly recommended.

I have never read the actual book. But after seeing this movie I plan to. Explains the gospel in very simple terms and can be for adults and as well as kids.
