RastAfri Pre-Stretched Silky Braiding Hair (5 Single Packs, #2)

I purchase this brand for my daughter’s braids. It was suggested by our stylist. It’s always consistently good over 5 purchases from 2023-2024. I’ve never experienced an issue, my daughter’s braids always hold up well. We use 1B, the hair doesn’t fray or come unraveled. For reference my daughter is very active (English horse back riding) and her braids look really good even at week 4 or beyond. The hair does so well that the stylist can do touchups leaving many braids in until the next appointment. I’ve purchased other brands, twice, from a local beauty supply store and the quality was very poor compared to RastAfri brand.

HAPPY WITH THE COLOR AND TEXTURE

I had no issues or complaints from my Braider. Holding curls well no freetress curly hair needed. No bad smell from pack . Packs are slightly thinner than other brands . Used 10 packs for this Style. It has only been 2 days but no itching so far to skin.

My braider could not believe that I purchased this hair on Amazon as it was the same quality and less expensive than if I had purchased in-store. I haven’t worn braids since the 1990’s and the heaviness and bulkiness of those days are long gone! The color was consistent in both packs. I purchased ten packs (2 packs of 5) and used 8 of them on my head. Another great Amazon purchase!

Nice texture of hair. There is Not a lot in the pack though. I had to use some of my Expressions hair.

The media could not be loaded. I can’t speak to whether it’s better for braiders but as someone who gets protective styles that use additional hair, this hair is very soft and fluffy. I have fine hair, not thin and this was recommended to avoid damaging my hair. My stylist noted the regular kanekalon hair was “cutting” into my hair causing damage with my protection style.You’ll see I took a picture of the beauty salon grade (1.99) hair against this hair. You can clearly see the difference and I could also feel the difference.I’ll continue to use this hair in my protective styles and hope to gain length retention since this is not as abrasive as kanekalon braiding hair.

If you know you know, and it’s just more cost-effective to get this hair through this particular seller. Definitely great for adding to whatever look.
