Natural Farms Raw Cocoa Butter - 1lb Fresh and Pure

There used to be a time when pharmacies sold real cocoa butter - not the version they have now where they mix minuscule amounts with something else. This is a very LARGE bag so we keep it cool in a fairly dark location. I recently had a knee replacement and wanted something for the scarring other than the $40+ lotions at the pharmacy. Every night I would take a piece in my hand and rub it over my knee. Not only is it a great skin softener, but my former "Frankenstein" scar is barely visible. For some the only negative might be the smell (chocolate!!!) - but I love to take a huge whiff when I open the bag - best chocolate smell ever. After applying it to my skin, I still smell a faint aroma of cocoa, but it's not over powering.

I make cold process soap very often, and also salves for year round use so I need a fat that stays fairly solid in various temps. Cocoa butter fills the need very well and this stuff comes in a very convenient format. It's like someone poured the melted butter on a cookie sheet then cracked it up into pieces to place in a bag. NICE.My previous purchase was in a plastic jar. BIG mistake. It was sturdy enough but every time I wanted to get some out I needed to microwave the whole jar and laboriously dig out these tiny flakes because I was scared of using too much heat.Took me months to get the whole pound used up.Trust me when I tell you to buy this form of cocoa butter. If you're looking for convenience, a mellow smell, and a good price, this is it.

I used this brand of cocoa butter in my homemade lotion and soap. Because soap needs to be weighed exactly, I'm always fighting the cocoa bar brick because it's so hard. These are in nice little bits that made it so easy to weigh and get my measurement correct before my scale turned off. The quality seems to be good too! No complaints!

Great quality and the pieces are much smaller than i thought they would be (which is good since cocoa butter somewhat difficult to chop) All pieces are the same thickness too - almost like baking chips. Makes for great chocolate making - clean flavor and melts easily.
